Station Grille Menu – St. Louis, MO

Type : American restaurant

Location : St. Louis, MO

Fred Harvey revolutionized railroad dining by opening one of his restaurants in the Terminal Hotel at St. Louis Union Station. In order to provide efficiency, the travelers ordered while still on board the train, and then the orders were wired to the restaurant manager, so that people could come in, sit down and enjoy a meal, and be on their way with as little time and hassle as possible. The most essential part of Fred Harvey’ success, as well as the most popular feature of his restaurants were the Harvey Girls, who greeted and tended to patrons with classic Midwestern manners and hospitality. Fred Harvey’s restaurant is now the Station Grille, which is located in the Union Station Hotel

Historic eatery set in Union Station Hotel & offering traditional American cooking. Based on 115 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.2 stars. Price

Very cool classic dining experience. Stopped in for breakfast before we headed out for the day. Classic breakfast options on the menu otherwise they have a buffet with an omelet bar. Such a delicious meal and awesome experience

Good hotel restaurant. A little over priced, but your are paying for all the decor and the nice atmosphere there. The venue is absolutely beautiful.

This is a nice restaurant. The wait staff was very friendly. They have a buffet for breakfast with a nice omelet bar. You really can’t beat the classic look and feel of the restaurant. I recommend eating here while having a stay at the famous Union Station hotel. You won’t regret it.

Party of 2. Literally the only people in the entire restaurant. Visited aquarium and with the good rating went there. VERY disappointed. House chips had very odd taste that lasted all day and only ate 1. Food also took far to long to come out for sandwiches. Staff offered to replace fries but after waiting a long time again waved waiter and said ready to go now. No offer of discount. Dirty and tired. Cool building but needs detailed.

Had breakfast here 2 days and were lucky enough to get Flori as our waiter both days! He’s half the reason we went back, excellent friendly service! We did the buffet one of the days (excellent omelet) and Individual meals the other day which were also pretty good! The food was nothing outstanding but the prices and service along with the food made it a good all around experience!

One star for this restaurant is too much. I have a gluten allergy and told the waiter about it when ordering. When my meal came I didn’t notice that what the fish was served with was not what the menu stated. I had eaten most of it when I noticed there was bulgur in it and not the shrimp and artichoke that the menu described. I told the waiter and she brought my plate back to the chef. He came out and said that it was gluten free bulgur but there is no way to make bulgur gluten free. I have celiac and it made me ill for four days after eating something that was supposed to be gluten free. Please be cautious at this restaurant! Having the chef lie to my face was just adding insult to injury, literally!
