Steak Frites Bistro offers $30 for a 3-course lunch special. The interior was nicely decorated with a French vintage vibe. However, the restaurant became noisy when the room was filled with customers. It was hard to talk across the table.

The onion soup was a little sweet for my taste, but the steak was really well cooked and buttery and and crispy and for some reason reminded me of popcorn with the butter. The escargot was also nice to have since I don’t often find that here

It’s a new restaurant. Friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere, fast service, great music, clean but the food needs to improve. I believe with time the food will get better. The food looks great but the flavor and the way its prepared needs work.

A great new French bistro in Hell’s Kitchen, the whole decor and atmosphere matches with the menu. From earthy nutty bread selection and warm butter. Steak showcased in pan before slicing. Escargo and potatos smooth and tasyy, greens vibrant, fried thin and crispy, burgers juicy, all good portion sizes. Finally classic chocolate souffle gooey and moist with sauce. French onion soup follows classic recipe, duck confit sandwich a bit strange with bones and all.

I came here for NYC restaurant week with a few friends and we were neither impressed nor unimpressed with the food. The escargot had just a tad bit too much garlic – still good through. The steak frites was different from what I expected because it was a gigantic 8 oz cube of meat which made it tricky to cook it to everyone’s different rarities. I like mine medium rare but only the inner cube of the meat was actually cooked correctly. The further out I cut the more well done it got which made it really chewy and flavorless. The chocolate soufflé was good, a bit chalky and dry at parts but not bad. It was on the cheaper side of the restaurant week prices and the proportions were much more than what we expected but the quality, unfortunately, suffered. All in all, just an ok French Bistro.

Didn’t expect it to be so good. Everything was just perfect, the fires are the best, the Hanger steak felt like tenderloin, delicious and cooked to perfect MR. The manager is a perfect gentleman. Perfect little Bistrò with also nice music selection.

This place is PHENOMENAL! I was blown away by everything I had at this place. Everything here is 10/10 and I was completely satisfied with my experience for the first time here. I came in for a casual late Sunday afternoon meal. Immediately walking in to this place you can feel that it has a very cozy and inviting environment. There is lovely French music playing that creates a great ambiance. The staff are all so attentive and quick to assist with everything and anything. They immediately clear your tables from empty plates, refill glasses and replace silverware. You want for nothing with great service like that! We started with the steak tartare and the shrimp cocktail which were both extremely delicious appetizers. The real treat was what our waiter recommended: the cote de boeuf. This was a 28oz medium rare steak, cooked to perfection to be shared for two. We decided to get the red wine sauce to pair with our steak. Before being served the steak, a member of staff brings out the whole steak on a pan for you to observe the presentation and preparation. They then proceed to cutting the steak into slices and serving it with fries and a salad. Everything was perfect! The char, the sauce, the tenderness, the juiciness and the flavor profile were all the best combination to have in a steak. Even the shoe string fries are so crispy, soft and delicious to be paired with the meal. I did not come here expecting to have dessert but after a meal like that, I was curious to try what was on the menu. We ordered the chocolate soufflé and the crème brûlée. We were told the soufflé takes a few minutes to prepare and asked to have both desserts be brought out together. I couldn’t believe how delicious both desserts were! The soufflé was so light and rich that just has the perfect balance of sweetness. The crème brûlée has a creamy vanilla taste that is absolutely addictive. I was surprised that after having two appetizers and a 28oz steak that I was still able to devour the desserts. It may seem like I am exaggerating, but I was truly impressed by everything on this menu. I could not be happier with this place. I promise that you wouldn’t be disappointed if you dined here. I highly recommend you check this place out as it has now become a favorite of mine. I will definitely be back soon!
