We stopped here on our way back from a trip. We were blown away by the food! Best steak fingers I have ever had. Also, at our table someone got the hamburger and chicken strips. They said they were excellent as well. Everything was made from scratch. Highly recommend. I will stop again if I’m in the area for sure.

After talking to the waitress, I learned she was the daughter of the 90 year old owner and cook (41 years she’s been the owner).The daughter was the waitress & cashier for the whole restaurant. Therefore, we waited to be seated because the tables were dirty, we waited to get our drink ordered, we waited to place order, we waited for drink refill.

Great stop! We were leery at first, only cafe in town, but lots of cars so we stopped. Food was fantastic & large portions. We had the chicken fried steak sandwich and could have shared one and gotten full, but it was so good we didn’t leave a crumb! Next time will split and have PIE!!

My family and I showed up 10 minutes before closing without realizing. They served us like they would anybody, and were so sweet while doing it! So so nice!! And the food was amazing I got the chicken enchilada plate. Don’t forget to get a slice of pie! I got coconut and it was delicious!! 10/10 Would recommend!! Definitely a must-stop.

Don’t judge a book by its cover. This place is definitely a hole in the wall, but the food was amazing! After reading reviews I felt we needed to try the steak fingers, but we also ordered a chicken fried steak. Chicken fried steak was huge, tender, and cooked perfectly. Only thing that could have been better was more options on the salad bar. Wait staff was friendly and food came out quick!

Great little mom and pops place. This little hole in the wall sits in the middle of this blink and you’ll miss it town. We had planned on eating somewhere else but that place had closed down and we saw this old building sitting by itself and glad we ate here. Service was nice and the food was good. Biscuits was fluffy and while I had better gravy, the gravy and biscuit was still good. If you get in lost Tatum, stop by this place!
