After some research, I decided to go to this steakhouse. I do not recommend for several reasons. The regular seats were very uncomfortable and the minute you sit down, you sink. So if you do go, you should ask for a booth or the high top. The Caesar salad was overdressed. The bread came in a napkin and the butter was not salted at all. The steak sauce had an overpowering taste of barbecue sauce. The steaks were heavily seasoned with pepper, as you can see in the picture, and overpowered the steak. Also the cast iron it comes in made it very awkward to cut due to the high walls of the dish. I love steak and normally would finish an 8oz, but I left with 1/3 of it eaten. However, I will say the plum cocktail and the mushrooms were good. This place was really not worth the money.

This steakhouse has a cool old-school vibe and excellent service. My steak was cooked to perfection, and the crab cake was also delicious with big lumps of crab. The wine list is extensive, and the staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. I would definitely recommend making a reservation in advance, as this restaurant is popular.

Love the vibe of this restaurant! Reservation was at 7pm on a Sunday – place was packed! Comfortable and elegant with dark/moody lighting. Extensive wine list. Our waitress (Jessica?) Was attentive, without hovering. Onion ring tower appetizer to start – thick cut onions, lightly battered. Lobster tail was one of the best! Steak cooked to perfection. Side of blistered peppers went well with the our rare tenderloin. Save room for the bread pudding!

The crab cakes were ok. Mashed potatoes were gummy and broccolini soggy with a lot of lemon seeds to pick out. I appreciate the fresh lemon squeeze but not looking to crack a tooth. We ordered the porterhouse for two medium rare and had to send it back. The first time was medium well and the second was medium rare/rare. We just stuck with the rare at that point. The meat itself wasn’t very flavorful. It was just heavily seasoned with cracked black pepper and no salt.

Best. Meal. Ever. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, everything was exceptional. Our waiter was professional, friendly and on his game. The scallops were beyond perfection. The shrimp bisque had a generous amount of shrimp and was the perfect consistency with incredible flavor. I had the Cowboy Ribeye steak, Oscar style. It was cooked to perfection and the flavor is indescribable. My husband had the special, an 8oz Ribeye cap, Oscar style. Again—perfection. Each person on their staff was just friendly and wonderful. Cannot say enough about our experience here. We will definitely be back. It’s a can’t miss while in Aspen.

I had to order the tomahawk! I’ve never been somewhere that served it and wow I was so impressed! The service was amazing and the vibe inside the entire house was amazing! I’d recommend this place to anyone and would hope you enjoy it as much as I did. We also got the lobster Mac and cheese and was amazed at how big of the chunks of lobster that were in it.
