There is no service at this location. They have replaced staff with terminals. We have been to many steak and shake locations and was not expecting this. More like a cafeteria now. Food was the same but the atmosphere sucked. I was a bit offended by the request of a tip when we placed our order. Isn’t a tip intended to be applied based on service? Maybe they should have asked how much discount do we want instead! Lol

Used to be amazing! When they had waitresses it was the go to spot on the weekend, you would have to wait in line. Now that they have the stupid kiosks I always see the place dead. Only two other people in here instead of 200 it’s crazy. Mess up orders easily, had to wait 15 minutes AFTER I was done with my food to finally get my milkshake why on earth does it take 30 minutes to get a milkshake. Asked twice and they said “it’s coming”. At least they brought the milkshake to the table, didn’t say sorry. You have to walk up and get your food, make your soda. Finally taste the milkshake and it’s very runny, not thick at all. Didn’t even put the whip cream and cherry on top what the heck is wrong with them now.

The $4.44 deal is fantastic! We had the double cheeseburgers with fries and added bacon(upcharge). They grill the onions at no extra cost, and the burgers were piping hot and delicious! Service was prompt, restaurant clean. And try the chili of you haven’t already, and thank me later.
