Even with how difficult it is to get this locations business, food was still good. Meat was a bit undercooked this time, though. Need to update the website where you can’t order pick up after so late if they close the lobby an hour and a half prior for pick ups.

I ordered 2 plates at 6pm and paid for it. They told me it’d be 1hour which I can understand for grilled foods. By 7:30 I called to see if something got messed up because it had been an hour and a half. The woman who answered literally answered the phone with “we’re closed” I said “excuse me I placed an order an hour and a half ago” she cut me off and said “they’re out delivering still, but we’re closed” and practically hung up on me. I waited 20 MORE minutes and my food still wasn’t here. My wife called and cancelled our order and requested a refund and the lady replied with “okay I’ll call the driver”…I usually order steak out for lunch a lot up where I work at but never again. This place needs better management or they might as well close. Recommend going elsewhere unless you like cold expensive food and bad attitudes..

I enjoy the food but they really need to get their stuff together. I can call Marcos or papa johns 5-10 minutes before they close and they’ll take my order. I called steak out at 9:06pm after placing my order online and I called to pay for it with a card and that lady told me they were closed and stopped taking online when they close at 10pm.. what kind of bs is that to stop taking orders an hour before they close. It’s like the second time they’ve done that in three weeks so I’m done. Very unprofessional

Today I thought, I’d really like a Burger. I called steakout, waited on hold for 30 minutes, order taker cane to the line, was extremely rude, the put me on hold for 10 more minutes. I literally got in my car and drove to steakout, walked in the door, still on hold. The order taker was not taking any orders, there was no phones ringing, nothing cooking… So I got righteously angry, that they were just ignoring me. I demanded to speak to the manager, asking why they had ignored me. She said because they were under staffed and busy…. they didn’t look busy… The. The manager got smart with me, so I left… I just gave up and went to McDonalds.. Sad you can’t even order 1 single burger… very sad.

I was hesitant to try this steak out after becoming accustomed to the Huntsville Steak Out which is independently operated and was always the best food. I have ordered from this Decatur location 3 times over the last 4 months and I have been pleased with the food and delivery each time. I always get the grilled chicken sandwich with onion pack. The chicken has been tender and delish each time. One time they gave me a sorry excuse of a tomato slice but chicken trumps tomato for sure! And 2/3 times for good veggies is acceptable in my book. Glad I finally gave them a chance. Whenever I can’t leave the office, I will order from here.
