Had a very nice and casual dinner here last week with a friend. Both our meals were delicious! I had the shrimp scampi which was mouthwatering! A lovely little spot near the train and perfect for a meal with a small group. Can’t wait to come back soon and make room for dessert.

They messed up with our reservation and we had to wait until they clear a table for us (6 ppl) but it’s ok, the staff was very apologetic. The presentation of the food was nice, however, my arugula salad and my main dish which was shrimp scampi were waaaaay too oily. It’s BYOB.

This place was a major disappointment, offering small portions of school cafeteria quality food at gourmet prices. The Caesar salad was tasteless, had no dressing and was unworthy of the name. The ungenerous portion of Shrimp Scampi included unpeeled shrimp and tasted mediocre. The Spicy Rigatoni was edible but unspectacular as was the chicken marsala, which was also the only dish offered in a normal adult-sized portion.

We are locals and have been going to Stella for the past 3 years. Unfortunately, the past few times (esp. the most recent) we have noticed the quality of food has been very poor and lacking flavor. The pasta does not taste “homemade” and the tomato sauce taste as if it is out of a can. Also beware, the portion sizes are small for what they are charging. Not going to lie you leave a little hungry and dissatisfied. Definitely nothing artisan or Italian about this restaurant. Staff is nice.

Where do I start, hands down best restaurant in ridgewood, and I say that with confidence. Pasta is made in house and this was some of the best calamari I’ve had in a while. Amazing service as well

Used to love coming here a few years ago but it seems to be under new management, and for the worse. Servers tried their best but there was no one in charge which made things slightly chaotic. Ordered the pasta carbonara, and for some reason they used Canadian bacon instead of pancetta or guanciale.
