This locally owned BBQ restaurant is right in downtown near the historic district and Courthouse. Brisket is the top shelf but ribs and pulled pork are equally as good. There is a weekday lunch special which is usually good homestyle food. Can’t go wrong here. Meats available by pound as well.

We were working in Greenwood for the day and heard about Steven’s BBQ and decided to give them a try. The ladies at the register were very friendly and told us how the buffet food was cooked fresh everyday or that we could order from the menu. I got the brisket and ribs from the buffet with mashed potatoes and butter beans. While the lady was plating my food a man behind the counter gave me an appetizer rib. Right then I knew that I made the right decision for lunch.

Ribs were very tender however there was no smoke flavor and the sauce was kind of bland. It wasn’t bad just not a lot of flavor. Had turnips and mac and cheese for sides and they were terrific. The chocolate cake was delicious and it was fresh. I would try this place again but another meat.

One of the best restaurants in Greenwood MS the BBQ is awesome but the home cook buffet is even better that’s cooked and served by the little short lady behind the buffet table. She makes you want to come back everyday with her southern hospitality. A very old fashion southern place, with great staff.

I have never had anything bad at Steven’s! Love the plate lunches with ribs, smoke house burger, BBQ Philly, squash casserole, greens and cornbread and I could keep going. The food is great and a great home town feeling.
