I wanted to try this place out and I ordered a pizza. I stayed to eat in the restaurant. The pizza was actually quite good. It looks like it is a local favorite and I get the impression it does a lot of take out business. I have seen cleaner restaurants (and restrooms), but I have seen a few worse. The people who run it seem nice.

Really good subs. Good value on the lunch specials. No combo pricing so the non special food items can be pricey. Only a couple of places to eat in Mt Gilead. This is the definitely a must do place for lunch.

The pizza sub. was my thang for years. I was not trying to share. Not even with kids or grands. When I went there Sunday it was really bad. I asked if they had changed anything..perhaps the sauce? Someone in my group let me snag a slice of pizza and it did not taste good either. Think it was the sauce. They denied changing anything, The onion rings and tea were top of line 5’s…but still got to go w/ 2 for average. Will I go again? Oh yeah! Just order something else.

Food was ok! I always wipe down the table prior to putting my baby in a high chair..however at this place I had to hold my baby the whole time while eating bc I wiped the table with 4 Clorox wipes and the wipes were still black! High chair was just as nasty!

It’s too bad I don’t live in my hometown Mt. Gilead anymore. Best place to eat in that little town. The pizza and the chicken subs are the best. Whenever I come back, Steve’s Pizza is a definite place to eat.
