In 1978, Steve Wilkinson was approached by a close friend and enticed to open a pizza parlor in Downtown Davis, CA. At the time, Davis was a sleepy, rural town adjacent to the University of California, a growing agriculture and research campus. Steve took pride in perfecting the recipes and using the highest ingredients. Word spread quickly through the community regarding the quality of his menu and the friendly guy with the large mustache who worked day and night to make his new venture successful. Thus was born Steve’s Pizza

I’ve been here twice for lunch. Both times, the pizza tasted great, the pizza was ready quickly, and the lunch special price was reasonable. I would highly recommend this place if you’re looking for pizza.

Ordered their Margherita pizza on doordash and payed for extra basil but I was given a pizza that had very little “basil”. Then once I ate a piece I realized it wasnt basil but CILANTRO. Like what?? Margherita pizzas also have red sauce but there was no sauce under the cheese. Not sure if the no sauce is how they make that pizza or if they forgot the sauce but my overall complaint is I paid for extra basil and got cilantro. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because the pizza still tasted decent, but it was basically just crust, cheese, and cilantro. Had the pizza been made correctly I’m sure it would have been a good pizza.

1st Time ever visiting Steve’s Pizza , The Pizza Cook & Cashier / Server (Same As 1)….being a small place..He was so inviting & really nice & patient as we made our choice to order My Wife & Myself 2gether both Loved The Pizza & our order was brought to our table with a Smile Piping Hot & just delicious, the Pizza Cook/ Server even gave us a Coupon to save $5 on our next visit …You just do not get this kinda service & hospitality anymore …..Very Highly Recommended Spot ❗️

They were out of a lot of stuff. They didn’t have ground beef to make burgers, and they were out of I think at least half the beers, and also out soda. I guess they weren’t on top of ordering new stuff? I ended up having wings and beer, which was fine, but not exactly what I hoped for (also the beer I first wanted was out).
