What a great tavern and restaurant in Northern Wisconsin! Beautiful wood interior. Talked to Wes, one of the owners about their different menu options. We tried the Canadian Walleye and a prime Rib sammie. Both were excellent. We will certainly be back.

Top notch service from Rayann and great outdoor seating area. Want bluegill? Check. How about perch? Yep. Cod? Sure. Walleye? You got it. Batter is nice and light, before I knew it my plate was empty. Highly recommend. Oh and Mac and Cheese included for the table, Perfecto.

My family and I have ate at A LOT of different restaurants in Wisconsin getting on and off trails, breakfast, and dinner. Stillwater was a disappointment! Few reasons why; The Bloody Mary pictured was $15, which was more than my cheeseburger basket!! Considering several other restaurants in the area charge about $8.50 for the same garnishments and served in a larger glass I thought this was bit pricey. The owner said she never heard of free refills on soda?!?!? Again, we’ve ate at several different restaurants and to be honest we’ve never been charged for a fountain soda refill (which Stillwater’s are served in the small plastic cup pictured) so we were a little thrown off by that as well. We had a party of 6, couples of twos, we wanted to split the bill and they don’t allow that – fine, just a bit of an inconvenience. Lastly, to top it all off the food wasn’t all that good which just made all the above even more irritating. There are plenty of good restaurants around to deal with this.

Despite the Bears memorabilia on the walls this place is really good. Fish fry on Friday and Monday with standard menu the rest of the week.

Best fish fry in Wisconsin north woods. The perch (sold out) walleye (my personal fav) cod, bluegill, shrimp! Party of 8, not a single thing left on a plate, limited conversation, lots of head bobs (everyone commented on how good this fishy fry was) Absolutely worth it. Accessible from snowmobile trails; Right on the trail. Service was fantastic. Make an effort to try Stillwater’s. They do it right!

We are from Canada and met up with friends for winter sledding. This bar is amazing and a perfect location to stop and have a bite and beer. Great atmosphere!!!!! I love this bar!
