What I love about this place is the people. They’re always welcoming and friendly and always greet you with a smile. I’ve never been in the restaurant/pub side but stop in on my way to Harriman State Park to pick up a sandwich or breakfast. The staff makes a killer egg sandwich!

This local neighbor bar & restaurant is laid back and super friendly. A group of us went hiking and needed some food and rest afterwards. Everyone was really friendly and the food was actually pretty good also. That said we were hungry but everyone was happy with their orders. The burger looked juicy and cooked as order. The salad was fresh and a decent selection of beer & alcohol.

Been going here as the owners have changed. One cashier is amazing – he recognizes me all the time, strikes up conversation, chill guy. I love the staff here, great people. Nice, quaint deli with decent food. There’s an attached restaurant but I’ve never been there.

Very convenient for anyone going to Harriman. Keep in mind that this is a last stop place before the park in a town with no grocery store. New owners have made nice changes to make the store more appealing. Food is always fresh. Service is friendly. The bar/restaurant side is a great local spot.

We had such a great night at Stone Meadow Inn. What a fun and delicious post-hike hang. The locals were super helpful and friendly, food was great, and the owner was very welcoming! We will definitely be back!

SMI was a lucky find as we were just passing thru Sloatsburg while on a New England vacation. We found them on the web and they had good reviews. It was a little after noon and when we parked there were no other cars there. Normally we would have driven on but we decided to go in and check it out. The waitress was the only person in the joint but she was friendly and welcomed us (we loved her Brooklyn accent). We ordered a cheese steak and a chicken cheese sandwich with sides of fries and salad. When they arrived we were overwhelmed by the amount of food. They were fantastic and very reasonably priced. We are glad we stopped.

Good food and very nice portions. The atmosphere is a bar but with tables you can comfortably sit at. However, the one negative for me was the constant smell of cigarette smoke.
