Best tavern in Rochester. Everyone is extremely friendly and hard working. Katie behind the bar is the absolute BEST. This is my husband’s and I favorite place to “date night”. The food is spectacular in a whole other level!! If you’re looking for a great fish fry, you must try Stones fish fry!

My husband and I were there this past Friday evening and it was beyond perfect. The food was delicious. I had not been to Stone’s Countryside Tavern in years and it was just as amazing as it was years ago. The staff is so warm,inviting and friendly we definitely will be back!

The restaurant was so busy, which made me think the food would be good. Also the reviews are great, but the food is not, at least the fish fry and fries. Our macaroni salad and cole slaw were good though. The fish was just bad, I threw mine away.

Curbside pick up due to Covid. Less than 2 minute wait time. The fish was HUGE and very fishy. So so good!!!! Coleslaw was excellent too and the fries were crispy. Highly recommend.

I had Broiled lemon pepper fish with Broccoli and a salad with Balsamic dressing. Everything was done to perfection, this was my first time visiting Stones Countryside Tavern. The bar area and seating areas were perfectly clean. The Wait Staff and Bar tenders were friendly and happy. I couldn’t ask for anything else. Love it, and I plan to come back soon.

Extremely busy. Hubby and I had the broiled fish which was delicious. The broccoli was a little overcooked. Hubby got coffee – which was good but never got a refill…never got approached to see if he needed a refill. Portion sizes were good, price was reasonable, and the staff was friendly.

Got a fish fry tonight that sadly wasn’t great. I don’t like to be especially mean to restaurants because I know they try their best but this fish fry was fishy, bland and just not good. All 3 of my family members felt sick to their stomachs after eating within 20.. praying we don’t get food poisoning. The breading was bland and dry, the fish was cooked well but seemed unusually fishy and just not a good fish fry taste. The fries were soggy or either burnt to the crisp. Only reason why I gave 2 stars is because the coleslaw and bread side were tolerable.
