Definitely a place that I wouldn’t normally have tried but glad I stopped in. The server was excellent 10/10 wish I could remember her name, our glasses were never empty and she was nice enough to sign us up for the rewards program. I loved the cheese fries it does have buffalo sauce which I had never had that on fries before but man it was pretty great. Burger was cooked to a perfect medium and the salad was with spring mix instead of iceberg so that was a nice surprise. The only bad was the Mac n cheese my girlfriend and I shared fell a little flat for us.

We had our orders placed at 6:17pm (specific to the time that was on the ticket). After about 30 minutes the bartender comes up apologizes for taking so long. After a while we started watching the time because we needed to go soon. By the time its 7pm I flagged a guy down and showed him the ticket with the time stamp and asked where is our food. The excuse was the kitchen was backed up and running slow. The issue was people who came in after us got their food and were either done or almost finished. I’m not going to totally diss on the place because they put our food in to go boxes and didn’t charge us. I hate to say it but when we got home and saw the food, the first impression was sad. The chicken sandwich I ordered was dry and the bread was burned (see pic for reference). I think my chicken was actually a chicken strip that came from my husband’s order was the chicken strip appetizer. The portion of fries was also sad. Let’s just say if I did have to pay for the food it would have been a disappointing $15.00 spent. Speaking of the chicken strips, those things made me giggle. I think I have seen the same type of chicken strips at the frozen section at Walmart. It was like looking at a child’s plate without the broccoli side. Otherwise, I guess the place is okay for the music and the atmosphere if your into sports. And the staff is friendly too.

The facility is dated and a little rundown but don’t let that fool you. A facelift would do wonders. The waitress we had was very attentive and did a wonderful job. She appeared to be green and new at her job but was very lovely person. I tried the wings and was very pleased with what I received, better than most places I’ve been to. The blue cheese dressing was a negative as it was very watery and lacked any taste. I had the patty melt to eat and again I was very pleased with the result. The rye bread was toasted perfectly and the burger was juicy. The fries were plentiful, they were hot and they were tasty. We were there on a Sunday and they had plenty of TV screens of all the sporting events which was very entertaining.

We walked in on a Saturday evening around 630 and sat ourselves right away. The atmosphere was awesome. Artwork by a (probably) local artist was a topic of conversation. There was a guy playing acoustic guitar and that was nice for ambiance. Food was delicious and served in nice time. We had loaded fries, Smothered chicken, and chicken fajita salad. Our server was attentive, but not annoying. This place is close to home, so we will definitely be back!!

I really liked this place when we there about 3/4m9nths ago. Today I was disappointed. To me presentation is everything. The Monte Cristo that came to me was literally slapped together! Obviously the cook didn’t care & neither did the server who looked at it and thought a customer should receive it. Luckily it tasted fine and all other entrees were passable.

Do not get the Monte Cristo…was expecting the below type image and ended up with a massively deep fried thing of meat and cheese. What was even worse is that of the 4 pieces, 3 of them had 1 piece of ham then the rest was cold on a single section. Didn’t eat much then got home and was completely ill. Ceasar salad was good but beer cheese with pretzel was cold. Overall wish i just had the salad.

Okay so I really didn’t want to come here based on past experiences of poor service and overcooked food, but I was out voted yesterday for a work lunch (10 of us). I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised when we walked in and our table was already set up, and approached immediately by Kate who welcomed us and promptly got all of us drinks and told us about the specials (that was definitely new!). Her service was impeccable and the food was simply amazing! She talked me into trying the Cuban sandwich special and I can honestly say it was the best Cuban I’ve ever had! Kudos to Kate and the new management team for the excellent job they are doing to make Stones Throw Tavern my favorite place again!

kind of disappointed. I was rooting for this place but it fell short. nice location and atmosphere. service was very slow and it wasn’t busy. food was put up in the service window but not promptly served. my food Sat in the window for 10 minutes and was served cold. the salad as a wrap is not worth the price because it was very small. I was hoping for more. there are good bones here, just tighten the screws.

A wonderful experience! Our server Kate was super friendly and knowledgeable. I requested a special order of burnt bacon and the kitchen manger, Charles, delivered. It was cooked perfectly and he came out to make sure I was happy. There are not many places these days to get great service and great food but Stone Throws Tavern is now at the top of our list!
