My first time dining here and I totally would give them 5 stars! The staff offers great customer service, the establishment is very clean and cute, and the food was great! My husband, myself and son all enjoyed our dishes! It’s a must try! They also have a live band every other Sunday which sets the mood!

We stopped by for brunch around 12pm on a Thursday. The place wasn’t busy and the waitress told us to pick our seat. We did have to wait long for the waitress to take our order & to bring the food. The food was ok; I ordered the corn beef hash breakfast & it was salty. My family member said his dish was good. Overall the food is not too bad and the price is good. Lastly parking is bad; if you come during busy times; good luck with parking!

First timer here. My friend and I both sampled the sausage gravy, she got the biscuits and gravy I got the country fried steak. Eggs ordered over easy and scrambled cooked through were both perfect. The gravy was thick and delicious, biscuits were fresh and crisp and the breaded cutlet was super crispy and balanced well with the gravy.

Went after a gym workout with my ladies. They go often, this was my first visit. I’ll be back for sure. Just as nice, simple, cozy place. I could see going here by myself for a quick bite. They have a counter you can sit at, or tables. Breakfast and lunch menu is abundant. Im not sure of their hours. I will check next time. I ordered egg and cheese on Portuguese roll, and side of potatoes. One of my friend had asked about the grits and our server was nice enough to give her a sample! She loved them.i tell you, when I go back, I’ll be ordering those! They looked good and creamy. I wasnt a fan of the potatoes to be honest, but those are always hit or miss. Needed to be seasoned is all. But my sandwich was bomb. I gotta try the pancakes next. Great little spot. Glad I went.

I am giving it two stars for service and the coffee was good. I ordered the veggie skillet. The place is named Stratford Skillet. Potatoes were half cooked and if they weren’t going to cook in the actual cast iron skillet for safety reasons, they should have at least gone to the effort to sauté the contents of the skillet to give it a skillet flavor. After taste of the oil they utilized also tasted rancid. Other food may be better. I got the skillet though as that is what it is named after. Should have gotten an omelet I guess. Other reviews were good. People were very polite and it had a local feeling. Server was great.

Really friendly. Great menu. Excellent cornbeef hash! The homefries are wonderful. The have a little onion and peppers in it and did not need salt, pepper, or ketchup! Clean and nice atmosphere. Well worth it to get up early for breakfast.

An absolute gem! The service is top notch, sooo many options and none of them disappoint. If you’re a local, you need to eat here. I love cracker barrel, but why should I wait an hour for a chain restaurant meal? This is my family spot going forward, and the prices are great too!

If you live in the area of Stratford, Connecticut. You might want to try out the Stratford skillet for breakfast or lunch. This place is located in the center part of Stratford, right on Barnum Ave. Everyone is very welcoming. Not a lot of seating and not a lot of parking but you could always park on the street. The food is very good. Service is good and they always have some sort of special on the chalkboard. If you’re in the area, check out Stratford skillet
