The customer service was nice from the cashier and others. The manager asked me why I didn’t want the black eye peas I was returning. I didn’t want to tell him because it was nasty. So I just told him I didn’t want them and to just exchange it for another side. The chicken, biscuit, fries, greens, lemonade, and apple cobbler was good. I could have went without the Mac and cheese and I definitely exchanged those peas for a second helping of greens.

Decent place for fried chicken but sides were a disappointment. I got the half bird which was juicy, tender and you could taste the brine and the flavors that were pulled in by their process. The crispy skin was good but I personally like it to be a bit more flavored with herbs or spices. I also got the Hot Thigh sandwich and the portion was huge and it was definitely a great bite. However it lacked any heat so if you are expecting a Nashville hot flavor profile, be ready to be dab tons of sauce on it. The pickles in the sandwich stood out – nice flavor and crunch, and the coleslaw was also just right, not too watery. Now I got the French fry sides since another review raved about it, but I got cold, hard fries that were closer to potato sticks. The Maple Brussels sprouts – I’ve tasted better at lots of other places. I’d have to try a few more dishes before I can truly rate the place but based on my experience today it was a 3.5. Another thing going for this place is they have great service, fast service and nice sit down place to have food as a family.

This is a nice place to eat at. They say that they brine their chicken for 24 hrs. Well their chicken is moist & had a good taste. The meatloaf is precooked & then thrown in the grill to have grill marks. It’s just ok, because it’s pretty bland other than the sauce on top. The chicken & waffles are ok. The waffle needs help for taste. Be prepared to spend a little extra because of the area you’re in.

Good food! I’m coming back for more. Chicken was seasoned well, for as hot when it came out, and it didn’t take a long time to come after being seated. I’m looking forward to the tenders and next time!!

Called in for a to go order of chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes with extra gravy on Saturday and this is what I got when I open my food at home one tiny container of gravy for all this! They clearly don’t care how to go order leave I’m sure this wouldn’t happen while dining in.

1st time to visit, went to Forest Lane location. Had the Showbird and Half Fried Chicken, very tasty and quality was excellent, the side of Black eyed peas were a little undercooked. The only disappointment was the Pecan Bread Pudding, I got it Togo and it was a muffin style serving, no sauce, do not recommend that item.
