Strings been in Auburn for years now. Nice atmosphere. They still sell their Salad Dressings. The sauces are exceptional. Fine dining in Auburn is rare.

We stop by for lunch, while driving through Auburn and I have to say it was an amazing experience. I love how well price their menu was. The waitress was super friendly and welcoming, she made sure we always had our drinks topped, she constantly checked on us and other customers around us. The menu was very appealing and the food came out delicious. The whole restaurant was clean and so were the restrooms. We’re very pleased and will definitely come back to try out other food on the menu!!!

I’ve been going here for years but it seems that they can’t make up their mind about their menu. I went on their web site and ordered about $75.00 worth of food. I’ve been ordering the Cioppino at least once a month on a “to-go” order. Today they decided that it no longer comes with the side salad. In fact the Meat Calzone that I ordered normally came with a side salad or soup but I guess no longer. Not happy!

My friend & I hadn’t been to the Strings restaurant in Auburn, CA, for a number of years since a birthday gathering, (pre-pandemic.) All the staff we encountered were wearing their face-masks, there was plexi-glass installed surrounding the front counter / register-area, & there seemed to be more space between tables compared to pre-pandemic norms.

I feel so bad having to give this place one star but after much deliberation it is only appropriate. The ambiance was to be expected for a plaza type restaurant. Someone must have forgotten to pay the light bill for the portion of the establishment leading to the bathrooms. The salad was rancid, and when do Italians add raisins (+sunflower seeds). I should add I did not see any Italians working or cooking The soup alleged to be minestrone was bland. The bread was dry & past its shelf life. I’m most certain that the “chicken” and perhaps most of the food was of low frozen quality. My girlfriend had to take a napkin to each bite of the lasagna for degreasing. The best thing going was the ice tea! Service was actually decent but who cares if the food isn’t very edible I hope they get it together because The Strings Cafe in the Central Valley is bomb.com

OH MY DeliciousNESS!! LOVE this place. Heck with Olive Garden, Strings is over the top yummy. I had the oven salmon with zoodles (zucchini noodles) it was so flavorful and my salmon was cooked perfectly with a nice light crust on top and soft middle. My server Jim was fantastic and friendly. Nice ambiance and clean. Highly recommend this gem !!!

My wife and I had been wanting to try Strings after moving here to Auburn from Southern California. Small restaurant with a pretty nice menu, nice atmosphere, friendly service. We both enjoyed our meal, generous portions, etc. Reasonable prices for a great meal, we will be back.

First visit, ordered the bruschetta. Took 20 minutes to arrive. Menu read pesto and garlic bread, not a speck of pesto on it (thankfully, the server offered to add the capers). As you can see by the picture, toppings were separate and I had to build my meal. It fell apart every time I took a bite; had to keep adding topping – too much work after a long day. No olives (???), no oil to drizzle over the bread. I’ve been to Italy; this place is the McDonald’s version of Italian food. Will I go back?

I ordered the artichoke ravioli after seeing a picture from another review (pic included) and what I got was not at all the same.(pic included) The one I received was obviously canned sauce only and the taste was alright, but nothing to brag about. Edible but not enjoyable.
