Shout out to Charles – the service that was given, the friendliness, representation of the restaurant, knowledge of the menu and ingredients was all excellent! Thank you, Charles! You definitely made our night. My partner and I enjoyed the entree’s. The Filet Mignon was absolutely delicious! Super tender and each bite just melted in my mouth. A ten out of ten! Our meat specifications were met. The Old Fashioned was bold, rich, and very well executed. Our expectations were blown out of the window.

We had a wonderful dinner last weekend. Everything was delicious. We enjoyed the Lamb Lollipops as an appetizer. I had the Beef Bourguignon and my bf had the Redfish. Both were excellent and very flavorful that we paired with a lovely red blend. We finished the night with the Snickers bread pudding. Service was a bit slow and our server wasn’t the most knowledgeable about the wines I inquired about but he made the effort to go ask the bartender. All in all it was a very pleasant evening. Will definitely be back.

We recently visited Stroubes while taking our son to orientation at LSU. We had the ribeye and filet mignon (good sized portions), salad, and the freshly baked bread. The food was average and quite pricey. The service and atmosphere were excellent.

We’ll I came for the short ribs. But they were out. So I ended up getting steak Diane. Wow. What a great dish. Hot and fresh. The steak was so tender and the cream sauce amazing. I also got the brussels sprouts, which were delicious and the au gratin potatoes which I didn’t like very much. I got a bananas, Foster bread pudding to go and it was OK nothing special. I’ll definitely be back for more steak Diane, and to try the short ribs.

Across from the Library and old capitol building, on the corner you’ll find Stoubes. If you come early on a Monday, like me, you won’t find a crowd (here or anywhere else in town). The staff was charming and the food was amazing. The mango Creme Brulee was something I had never tried before and would go back just for that.

Started at about 4pm with cocktails that were great. Smoked Old Fashion & Pineapple martini ! Met Chef Jeremy and Alli and our amazing night got better. Chef selected & prepared our meal ! Wow it was the best food ever. If you have the opportunity let Chef & the staff at Stroubes treat you to an amazing dining experience.

The restaurant was nearly empty when I visited midweek. I ordered the NOLA shrimp, which had a decent amount of flavor but a tad bit too much salt. The salmon dish was decent but seemed slightly undercooked. Avoid the Brussels sprouts at all cost; completely bland and flavorless. Service was efficient and friendly.

Rude night manager, food cold and tasteless. Took two hours to take our order and another hour to get our food. Manger Jeremy l think his name is very rude cursed us he charged my daughter card without her consent on the total. Gratuity of 20% was a joke. You are deserving of what you present. The waiter admitted that if we were a party of white people our service would have been better. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to my dog.
