Super super delicious poke bowl! I’m impressed. Myself is not a poke bowl lover because I think poke bowl always taste the same. But this place’s poke bowl is different. They definitely combined some other fusion into their poke. For example, I love my poke bowl here with spicy mango dressing! It worked so well. Their portion is really huge. And they will try to put as much as they can, you will feel so satisfied and full after! As I am painting a mural for Parkway Plaza recently, this spot is definitely one of my favorite spots for lunch.

The food was good however the service here from the ladies at the counter is absolutely horrendous. At Parkway mall my husband went up to the counter with my stepson to order him some food. The young girl working there with the 12 ft long eyelashes rolled her eyes, had an ugly, condescending tone when speaking with my husband and stepson, never smiled at all, and also gave me attitude when I went back up to ask for ketchup for his chicken tenders. Randomly while we were eating, a lady walked up to us and asked us where we got the chicken tenders. We told her at Stubborn Poke & Chips but we warned her about the young girl at the counter (who clearly did not want to be there). The lady said ,”Oh yeah she is not good. The guy that works there is much nicer!” So, this makes me see that we are not the only ones who encountered this girl’s awful service. I hope something is done about it soon.

Honestly thr serving size to price ratio is really good, the fish and veggies are.always fresh and the service from the staff is always great. I’ve paid more for less at “fancy” poke places. Kind of a diamond in the rough.

Was looking for fish in El Cajon with my wife and came across this place. Good reviews, great looking dishes, so we stopped by. This is poke made by real chefs, the poke bowl selections came together perfectly, everything was the right amount of moist and not dry at all. Fish was fresh (they do run out, so come early for selection) and have a great selection from ahi, wild salmon, spicy tuna, albacore, shrimp, bad octopus. They also have meats to chose from, bulgogi, steak, pulled pork and more. My wife enjoyed her poke bowl, and she is very critical of them when they are not perfect. I went all out and tried a tater tots with fried fish aka fish and chips. I added avocado and 3 dressings including the chefs special spicy sauce, adding sweet and sour to the mixture.

The best poke in a mall food court! Actually the best non-Hawaiian pokey style based on their sauces and many options. It’s like you get double chances in step 4 and 6 to get it moist and flavorful. The protein is marinated not like other places where it’s just a squirt on top. You can’t go wrong with any of the endless sauces and adding crunchies at the end. The portions are also huge!

We LOVE the food here. Only downside is the customer service. The young lady that is there just about every time we’re there always seems upset or just flat out rude. The other guys that work there are generally sweet and super helpful, but today, we feel as if she added a sauce we didn’t ask for and it completely altered the taste of the food- it was too sweet and too liquid-y at the bottom. Rushing customers and giving attitude when there’s no one else in line is completely unnecessary and I think that’s why that miscommunication happened. Please tech your employees better.

When I have a craving for tasty Poke this is the spot I come too! The food is fire and the customer service is excellent! I’ve been helped out by Yessenia a few time when I stopped by and she’s awesome! Yessenia is very attentive, fast, and I can tell she knows what she is doing! It can get real busy after 4PM, people getting out of work etc. and she was helping out customers quick! I’ve been to many establishments and noticed younger workers work slow and you can tell they don’t want to be there, but Yessenia is eager and quick to help out customers. To the owner or supervisor, don’t let her go, it’s hard to find young workers like her. Give that girl a raise she deserves it!
