Stubborn Seed was an excellent culinary experience from top to bottom, and I highly recommend dining here. Our food runner, Jordan, was amazing. He eloquently described each dish to perfection, and highlighted our dinner and night out overall. Our server, Steven, suggested some great dishes that met our needs and tastes seamlessly.

Amazing experience and excellent food but a star less due to wine pairing not following the courses. At least 2 were missed or were being served late. When they overheard my conversation regarding it they upped the game and tried to do their job properly.

My wife I were excited for try the chef’s tasting menu. Overall it was solid but a bit long winded and other diners near us seemed to be on a more rapid pace of dishes being served. Our server left much to be desired as he was not thrilled we chose an affordable bottle of wine over the wine pairing for $80 a person. My favorite aspect was the way the espresso was served.

This place was amazing start to finish. Our server, Starling (awesome name), was excellent. Highly recommend the wine pairing that was well thought out and wonderful. Read in reviews that some people felt rushed and that the restaurant was loud. We found neither of these to be true. The plates were as beautiful as they were delicious. So creative. We will be back on next visit to Miami. Don’t miss this place!

Food was very good. Service, not so much. Checked to see if there is any accommodation that can be made for diet restriction on one course of the meal and was right away balked at. Chef did make an accommodation, but the waiter’s response was not what I expected.

Overrated. We had the “Experience” tasting menu. Out of the 10 small dishes 4 were very good. The $80 wine pairing is not worth at all. 2 or 3 are bubbly and the rest of the glasses are from $20 dollar bottles. For the trendy people that don’t know good food or wines it’s okay. PS: When we left (after paying ($963 for 4 people) we were still hungry and went to Nick’s Pizza next door to get a slice of pizza. Never been there. Best pizza ever.

I spent a week in South Beach sampling various restaurants and eateries and paid this restaurant a visit at the bar almost as an afterthought toward the tail end of my trip. I wasn’t prepared for how amazing the experience would be! I need to qualify this by noting that this review is only for dinner a la carte at the bar and not the tasting menu. I had an alligator bites appetizer, the truffle chicken entree, the “snack pack” dessert, and two cocktails. Every aspect of my meal was meticulously crafted – the chef’s attention to detail and devotion to his craft shines through in everything. From the perfection of the sauces used in every dish to the absolute flawlessness of the cooking techniques for every item. The entire staff greeted me warmly even though I was just a walk-in off South Beach going to the bar. My bartender was exceptional at suggesting drinks and preparing them, and the two I had were beautiful and inventive. I almost got emotional consuming this meal after a balmy summer day in South Beach, overwhelmed by the perfection of it all. Although it was simple, chicken, some drinks, some short banter at the bar, it was somehow the best restaurant meal I’ve had in a very long time. I look forward to the full experience if I ever find myself in South Beach again, but meanwhile, if you’re there, pay them a visit, even if only to eat at the bar! Trust me, they’re amazing, and not just by South Beach standards!

It’s rare to find such a wonderful restaurant like Stubborn Seed that has a great vibe, amazing service and exceptional food all in one but this does just that! When in Miami, I recommend coming here and going for the tasting menu and wine pairing. It is well worth the it and your taste buds will thank you. Our 7 year old daughter was with us and she loved the cheese puffs, bravas and the juiciest chicken ever. The service is was top notch and the attention to details was seen throughout the restaurant. It was a wonderful way to start our vacation. Make sure to make a reservation too!
