Best sub sandwiches. I absolutely love their sub sauce (which I typically order on the side), and the bread is fresh. The employees are kind and patient when I’ve ordered. They are no longer cash only, so my coworkers and I end up eating here more often than we used to. We love it!

My co-workers and I love to get lunch at The Sub Shop on McDaniel St in Springfield. The guys in there are ALWAYS friendly and cheerful. The food is ALWAYS fresh and tasty, and our orders are prepaired to perfection, special requests are never a problem.

I remember eating here in the 80s and 90s before moving away. Now that I’ve returned, and still seeing great reviews, I wanted to relieve the past. I went to the Downtown location. Finding parking is terrible. Be prepared to parallel park. Most of the menu pics online showed $7 for a large. It seems there needs some updating as $10 was the price for my Nightmare (a meatball variation). I didn’t mind because it was going to be good when I unwrapped it at home. Unfortunately, my wife and I were underwhelmed. It was just ok… nothing special as I was anticipating. Like my wife says often in these cases, “I could have made this myself…and probably better”.
