I always order here. If you are looking for the BEST CATFISH come here. Don’t listen to other reviews. You can get extra on the side of whatever you want. They pack the plate well. The sides are great try the greens and the yams. Everything that they have there is great. I highly recommend this place to anyone. When you look on the outside and inside it may look like a hole in the wall spot but I am telling you, there food is delicious.

So If i need to update my review if I order something else, I will. But I ordered fried shrimp, fries, tea and lemon cake. All of it was Good. I also ordered a crab cake. It was ok, not bad at all. Just wish they had cornbread.

I usually get a burger or just shrimp from them but I purchased a 4pc whiting and 6 shrimp dinner! Shrimp were excellent but they took one single piece of fish and cut it into 4 parts to make 4pc….utterly ridiculous and disappointing from them! Almost $20 and the cabbage was gigantic chucks …ugh ♀️

Not at all what it use to. Less food for more money. Can’t get extra even though you will be paying for it. I use to go there for years. Went there last Sunday after church. Will not go there again. My food wasn’t worth $25.

we were in DC for vacation 2years ago, and word of mouth sent us to Suburban Seafood for chitterlings dinners, AWESOME! Unfortunately. when we wanted to return for MORE they were SOLD OUT. We are returning to DC in a couple of months and will most surely be ordering EXTRA plates this time.

NEGATIVE REVIEW: There were multiple things I did not like and will never return – I don’t have to when I don’t live near and have other options for any other time I may be in the area. For starters, I’m posting images of the current menu with the accurate prices for the food – don’t trust any other menus posted – this is as of March 2020. Their bottled beverages are over priced, so is the food. They are another business that unfortunately has a $10 minimum when using your debit/credit card – an inconvenience for customers. The tilapia fish sub with the combo is about 8 inches. I ate half and tossed the other on the ground for the birds and stray animals to pick it up one day. The fish tasted like it may have been coated in pancake batter and then fried – definitely did not taste like fried fish and they only offer American cheese, which is hardly real cheese. The hush puppies were great, but all this for nearly $15 was a huge waste and will NEVER return due to such dissatisfactory conditions.

I order 9 pieces if whiting fish 15$. When I got home they had taken 1 fish cut in half not a whole piece of fish. Sad mac and cheese is boxed kind. Not homemade.

Great Customer Service.. Fresh hot fish every time I go! It’s yummy.. It tastes like home. It seems that the side dishes are warmed up which I didn’t mind. The seasonings are marinated in the fridge overnight with their side dishes. The food they prepare is more than enough and you will be full. I’m never disappointed! New to the area.

I use to visit this spot often back in the day. Boy has it changed. I try and support black businesses, even though I know that only the front desk and cooks were black. It’s Asian owned. Anyway went today 1-5-23, ordered a wing dinner with Mac and cheese and string beans. Also a four wing dinner with Mac and cheese and string beans. I paid $26 dollars. It has two stars because the turkey wings were pretty good. The Mac and cheese is boxed with no seasoning so prepare to doctor it up at home. The string beans were just okay. Not let’s move on to the fried chicken wings that was a big disappointment. They were OLD and dark wings that had clearly been cooked in old grease and had been sitting most of the day. I called and the lady who answered said I’ll let you speak to the cook, I was on hold for 18 minutes he never came and she never came back. I’m so disappointed, that this place is in a black community and treat the people of the community this way. We paid hard earned money and deserve better. I’m speaking up for the people they can care less about. Oh and corn bread is not on the menu anymore, just white or wheat! FYI!
