I was at Sue’s for a private event. The buffet was delicious! Every item had great flavor and all was hot! Deserts were excellent and the cannolis were crisp (not soggy). I live in NC but the trip to Saugerties was worth it.

Two of us went to dinner hadn’t been here for a few years. We tried the chicken wings, the eggplant Parm,and the chicken francese. First let me say the service by the waitress was excellent. The food over all was ok. First let’s address the fact the kitchen sent our appitizers and our meals at the same time, we sent the dinners back. The chicken wings were very good, the salad was very good. The dinners well the Frances was dry and very little flavor. The eggplant portion was small but was served with a fair amount of pasta under it. The eggplant was mush by the time I got it.

We have been eating at Sues for over 20 years. In the past two years it seems that the business is slipping. I’m not sure if they just don’t have the drive in it like they used to but it’s been very spotty while dining here. Tonights burnt pizza is just one issue, to allow it to leave the kitchen like that? The chef that made it couldn’t tell it was slightly overdone? We will continue to keep trying it out hoping that it gets better, but we won’t visit as often as we did. This is the second time in 3 months time that we had issues with food quality and in the past 2 years we have noticed service getting slower and not as attentive as well. I’m a lifelong Saugerties resident and hope that it’s just a fluke but Sues make notice of the issues as it’s being talked about in town and we hate for that to happen to a long time area business.

Excellent food with generous portions! I think their Caesar salad is one of the best I’ve ever had, the beer was terrific and my main course was outstanding! My only complaint was that I couldn’t finish it all…

Great Italian food. Who would know it from the name or outside. Service was excellent and I had the best eggplant rollatini I have ever had. Sauce has to be homemade as it was splendid. Too full for dessert so that’s up for the imagination or my next visit!
