First time in Sugar Foot, and YOU have to go! It’s the cutest little spot with amazing food. The fried chicken and fish are both to die for. IT WAS FIRE!! Ideal dine in for those who want a family night out or small group. The tables are beautiful, repurpose wood but only seat small parties of 4, maybe 5. Guys, come watch the game. There are several tvs and hightop seating sections.

This is a 10/10 soul food spot! The service was expectional! The waiter Junior was so nice. I brought one of my coworkers here and she was blown away by the taste of the “pulled turkey”…instead of pulled pork they do turkey for those who don’t want pork on their fork! The collard greens are fantastic! The yams warmed my soul.

If you haven’t yet tried eating here you should. We drove 25 miles to eat here for the first time and were not disappointed. We were warmly welcomed to an atmosphere that was inviting and very laid back. After placing our order we sat back and played cards and listened to relaxing music in the background. The food was some of the best chicken I’ve ever had. The sides like the Mac and cheese and candied yams are to die for. Service was on point as owner and staff checked back with us regularly to make sure we were good. The owner stated this is some of the best fried chicken in the city. It truly lives up to its name. Will definitely be back. We strongly recommend you give this place a try.

The food was extremely good. No disappointments at all. You get a nice sized plate of food, didn’t take long to come out, only about 10-15min. The staff was really nice, they greet you when you come in, they keep checking on you they whole time you’re there & pretty good old school music as well.

Visiting from the south and this soulfood experience was amazing. Food was delicious especially the Mac n cheese and greens. What really sold me the most is the service. Our waitress an older woman was so personable and nice. Highly recommend and would come again if I’m ever in the area!

I had the fried chicken dinner with collard greens and candy yams. My husband had the fried whiting with potato salad and Mac & cheese. We each had a slice of homemade cornbread from scratch. That’s right from scratch. No jiffy, no ready made or from a package. The food was clean and fully cooked. The seasoning was just right. The smoked turkey didn’t over power the greens and the food was not greasy. The restaurant is cozy and a comfortable atmosphere. Everyone was so courteous and respectful. The portions are great along with tasting good. I highly recommend this restaurant.

My apologies for taking photos when I’m almost done eating. I got a pulled turkey bbq dinner. Pulled turkey, candied yams, Mac n cheese, corn bread, coleslaw, and a slice of sweet potato pie.
