While I like the old school location it is kinda between styles. Not retro and not updated. I would think a remodel and theme update would be awesome. ( not likely a sound business plan. Just would be cool). The customer service was good. Food was good. Nice menu selection. Lots of sandwiches and sides as well as ice cream choices.

The food was good. Most of the prices were not too bad. WE ordered a large side order of fires though and the cost was nearly $10! This was not some huge order of fries either just a normal size order of fries. The fries by themselves cost more than my open face roast beef meal.

The ladies here did their best to get everyone served. They got swamped with orders but everyone was patient with them beings there was only 2 workers. Food was great and ice cream was delish!! What astonished me the most was a hearing impared lady came in to order and was using an app on her phone to communicate with the young lady taking her order. She want quite sure how to use the app but she did amazing and I’m sure the lady and her son was very pleased. Definitely will come back!!

I’m only giving the Sugar Shack 4 stars because they don’t have bananas for splits but the pineapple shake I got instead was really good and my husband loved his cherry vanilla shake she made. It was our first time stopping thru, it was on our route. Very friendly employee big Smiles !

The food was great the 1st time there along with service. The 2nd time there, it wasn’t bad so to speak, but it was late and cold. I placed a to go order, and I’m almost certain I was forgot about. When I finally got my food, I went straight home (3min away) and the wife and I sat down to eat. Not only was the food cold, but the burgers weren’t how I ordered them. I do believe they were going through a shift change so I’m not gonna just throw a bad review out there because as I said earlier, the 1st time was excellent. I’ll give it another try next weekend possibly and hope it’s like the 1st time all over again. Update: went back and ordered blt and tenderloin Sammiches and they were possibly the best we have ever eaten. The service was fantastic and the place just had that make you happy feeling. I’m glad they came through. Just shows even the best have off days
