This is a super cute vegan restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. There is street parking, some of which is free if you look long enough, and are conveniently located right across the courthouse.

Had the 3 taco combo of Carne asada, al pastor and crunchy potato. The vegan meats tasted just like real meat and were packed with flavor. I loved the colorful atmosphere inside and out, but especially the patio with its tall ceilings. Excellent service from the staff. It felt like a little oasis in downtown LB.

This place is so cute! I’ve been waiting for it to open and I’m so happy it finally has. We tried tacos, loaded fries, churro donuts, and aguas. I loved everything, especially the loaded fries and the horchata. The patio is so pretty and a great spot to lounge. The entire restaurant is really bright and beautiful with murals and flowers etc. They have a cute merch section as well. The staff were all lovely and helpful with suggestions, can’t wait to return!

it was amazing! Sugar Taco inspired me to go plant-based/vegan. I first visited the Sugar Taco in Hollywood last summer, and ever since then I’ve been fully vegan. I started a vegan Instagram account called “Noplantsjustmeat” where I go around having different plant-based meals. Sugar Taco is BY FAR my favorite restaurant! I’ve recommended it to a lot of people. Go check this place out!!!

I’ve had vegan Mexican food before but not like Sugar Taco I’ll tell you. They have a great selection of dishes and different proteins. I personally had the taco plate and the carnitas was my absolute favorite. The loaded fries were also very delicious. The chips and salsa were also very tasty, not spicy but great combination of flavor. The staff was the sweetest! What I loved the most was the reusable glasses with agua fresca. It’s for a great cause and you also get a discount when you come back for a refill. The outside patio was so cute and very spacious! I’m definitely coming back to try the carnitas burrito

AMAZING food and size portions are awesome. Love the atmosphere. Does NOT accept cash and really needs a sign for such. Servers can be a bit rude when delivering/walking around they either needs more staff or fix the entrance door for more space since there is always long lines during lunch.
