Sugarfish was an interesting Japanese cuisine place that we tried. They don’t carry the general sushi that you see everywhere- California rolls, prawn tempura or spicy tuna but instead they have interesting takes on some of these. The hand roll experience was new for me as I have always only had cut sushi. Overall, loved the food, service and the ambience. Great place to try out Japanese if you are looking for something unique or different than the ordinary. Never thought any fish – Bluefin and Yellowtail in this case – would come near Tuna, which is my favorite. Loved the wide variety of options. Also, we waited for almost 30 mins before getting a seat, so definitely call and get proper reservations. The place can get quite busy, so a reservation might help.

A nice curated experience from this west coast chain. The trust me set is nicely balanced with good variety and filling. Good atmosphere and friendly waiters, tip is included in the menu price. The tuna cerviche is good appetizer, the two handrolls are nice change from traditional rolls. Scallop, salmon and otoro were delicious.

Phenomenal! Absolutely loved it probably the best sushi I have ever had. Everything just melts in your mouth. The hand rolls with crispy seaweed are out of this world! Other reviews are right…there is something that is just, well, different about the rice that makes it very special. Have any of the “trust me” options and you will be very happy. A++

I was immediately struck by the warm and inviting atmosphere of this restaurant. The decor was sleek in modern, with a touch of traditional Japanese elements that added to the overall ambience. The sushi, however, stole the show. The freshness of the fish was undeniable, and the simple presentation allowed the quality of the ingredients to shine through. The tuna, albacore, and salmon sushi were particularly noteworthy, with each piece, expertly crafted and bursting with flavor. In addition to the sushi, the handrolls were outstanding, and had a unique crunch the added to the overall dining experience. The attention to detail and precision that went into each dish was evident, and the culinary mastery of the chefs was impressive. The service was also exceptional. The wait staff was attentive and knowledgeable, and each dish was presented with care and precision. Overall, SugarFish provided a memorable dining experience, with delicious food, a warm and inviting atmosphere, and exceptional service. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a top-notch sushi experience.

Very good for the price. We got the “Don’t think. Just eat” omakase. Super filling. A lot of the dishes were saltier than what I was used to (edamame, some rice in the sushi), but nevertheless good.
