When you travel a lot you don’t have high hopes for an airport meal or personal experience with your bartender/server. Ali at Summer House blew the doors off the experience. The turkey and avocado sandwich was one of the best I’ve ever had. Ali experimented with me by using a new liqueur they just got in to create a custom old fashioned. Well done to summer house in the CLT airport. It was a great vibe for a long travel week.

I had a long day at the airport and after eating the food and the Admiral’s Club I wanted to check out what restaurants the terminal had to offer. Summer House definitely looked enticing and after browsing their menu online I decided to stop in. The wait wasn’t long at all, but that probably had to do with the time of day that I went. I had the chicken sandwich and it was prepared very well. The truffle fries were absolutely amazing and my server was super attentive even though they had plenty of tables to wait on.

We waited at the front and no one came to greet us although plenty of them looked right at us. So we found 2 empty seats at the bar and seated ourselves. The bartender was good and the food decent. For being in a airport, I would expect to have more accommodations for people’s luggage so that part was a cluster.

The oriental server Fang Min took pains for my veggie order since nothing on the menu listed was veggie. She modified the chicken sandwich as no chicken no bacon order and was perfect. Thanks to her I had a good meal past 10 with a delayed flight. Sandwich and fries were good. Hope they add some vegetarian menu for travelers like us.

Loved this place. Excellent staff. Excellent drinks. And the fries and nacho chips are top notch The staff dont stop moving but they still have time to ask about how you are doing. If I am back at this airport, 100% I will co e back.
