Cute restaurant in a beautiful community. I’m not vegetarian and I tried the eggplant main and it was phenomenal! The sauce was so rich and crust on the eggplant so crunchy. Service was excellent, I’m from Canada so I wanted a nicer booth and the hostess accommodated my needs and moved the tables around. The presecco was served chilled and the flutes to match. Overall a great brunch spot.

Phenomenal experience. Chef AJ has really outdone himself. The impeccable detail to every aspect of each dish we enjoyed was insane. Service was also top notch. From the freshness of something as simple as the zucchini (it literally tasted like it had been fresh picked minutes before hitting the plate) accompanying some of the best halibut I’ve ever tasted, to the beautifully plated fluke crudo with flavor profiles complimenting each bite, nothing here is overdone and it is just perfect. What an amazing meal. We cannot wait to come back.

we had the crudo of the day… a tuna tartar with herbs and then some… a couple or maybe a few drinks… scallops and halibut for mains… my wife found the new benchmark for a scallop dish… she wanted to eat as soon as we can at the old benchmark so she can be sure… our wait staff was very friendly and warm… we had a really great experience… one more reason to keep coming back to summit nj… cheers!

You get what you pay for. This meal was fantastic. I had the steak, which was cooked perfectly medium rare throughout and was incredibly tender. It was paired with a parsnip mashed potato type dish which was the perfect complement .

Great restaurant in a small town. The service is great, the food tasted really good, and the place was very busy. I didn’t expect this place to be as good as it was. The food and quality of service could compete with any NYC restaurant. Kudos to the staff!

Went for appetizers and drinks with friends (3 drinks/3 appetizers – w-tip $115!), initially service was good, and the appetizers good although nothing extraordinary. There was not a line or others waiting for a table. We were seated less than an hour when a young man who was not our original server, abruptly and rudely asked to clear our table when we were not finished. Persistently, returning less than 3 minutes and asked again. It was rather clear that we were no longer welcome. We could understand if it was a busy time, although this was not the case. Previous experiences, the service at the bar is better and the bartenders far more hospitable and accommodating. All it takes is one bad oyster to spoil an experience. We would have expected more from a place like the Summit House. We probably will not return. Cooking at home is now better option.

The seafood is superb! Had a wonderful meal starting with briny oysters and chilled shrimp, which paired perfectly with ice-cold martinis that were expertly prepared by our bartender Justin. We shared the scallops and halibut for the main course, both were delicious. The scallops were super yummy and served on top of a mexican-style corn, which had a smoky, savory cumin note. The fish was delicious too – loved the fork-tender flakiness of the halibut contrasted with the crispy potato cake and veggies.

Had a great brunch at the Summit House with a friend. The Qunioa bowl with Salmon was delicious and filling. My friend had the ricotta pancakes and a Bloody Mary which she said were amazing. We will be back!

We checked this place out on a whim, and we’re so happy we did! It was just opening up on a Thursday so we had a nice quiet round of drinks and small plates. The wheelchair accessible entrance was so easy, and they immediately sat us at a low accessible table without needing to be asked. We had some delicious cocktails(Pillow Talk is awesome) and really enjoyed the extensive wine list. The scallop & pork belly surf n’ turf was my favorite plate, as the scallops had a perfect sear and tenderness. We can’t wait to come back!

This is an excellent restaurant to grab drinks and dinner. It has a modern fun vibe and it’s great for a group dinner. The cocktails were fantastic – one person in my group even said the margarita is the best they’ve ever had. I also enjoyed the gin based blackberry cocktail. The appetizers were delicious – the ricotta was soft and light, the beets and cauliflower had a hint of candied pecans which were a pleasant surprise. You can skip the fall salad – a little tart for my taste and not very inventive. The tuna appetizer had a great vinaigrette that matched nicely. For dinner, the pasta, chicken, and pork chops were a hit. The desserts weren’t standout – I’d save room and eat more savory at this restaurant. The service was excellent. And it’s also located in downtown summit, so it’s a cute place to walk around either before or after dinner.
