This place was highly recommended by a co-worker. So I definitely had to try it. For the mains I got ribs, catfish, and chicken wings and for the sides potato salad, collard greens, yams, and mac and cheese. When I say this food was amazing, omg!! The catfish and ribs have to be some of the best food I’ve eaten in a while. The sides were great the mac and the potato salad were my favs. Oh and how can I forget the chocolate peanut butter cake from heaven. Definitely a great spot. Isiah ( hope I spelled it right) was amazing. I know see why this restaurant is highly recommended. A must try.

My in-laws took me to this restaurant last week, and I was a bit apprehensive at first, because we dined in, and the atmosphere (building, lighting, seating, etc) was not as tidy or up to date. I do know, however, that often times a good restaurant starts out this way. Everyone has to get a start somewhere.

My cousin and I are from Oregon. We saw this place driving by, and called to see if they were open. Said, we could park out front or in back. City streets don’t seem safe, so we parked out back. We took a few minutes to park, so they came looking for us, thinking we might be lost.

Terrible experience. I had a takeout order it was supposed to be ready when i got there instead I waited another 2O minutes for them only to bring half the order out of ribs and not the other food. If I didn’t check I would have had half the food. So then i had to wait at least another half hour for them to bring out the rest of the order with no one even updating me and being ignored when I complained that the first part of the order would be cold i was just told “i hope not” i got home to realize the order was still wrong—no corn bread and one of the dishes did not have half the stuff on it advertised on the menu as part of the dish. How do u prepare half a dish? The rest of the food was medium quality at best for a premium price. Never again at this point it was not even worth calling to complain

What an absolutely amazing lunch! This family business does it right! It was suggested we try the rib, brisket and chicken combo with mac and cheese, collard greens and cornbread. Everything on our plate was excellent! So flavourful and delicious! We are foodies and I must say that this is one of the best finds we have ever experienced!
