We are avid sushi eaters and Sun Sushi is one of our favorite sushi’s ever. We’ve tried most of the sushi’s in Santa Barbara and keep coming back here as our best.The quality of fish and service is great! Our favorite item is the salmon and tuna 6 ways that comes with a very fun mix of Nigiri.

Wouldn’t you agree this is the best sushi place in town? This is not a fancy restaurant, but their service and food are great given the price and location. All the rolls I have tried so far were decent if not great, and other menus such as salmon or chicken teriyaki were pretty good too. Definitely returning to try some more.

We are from Western Montana, where I was first introduced to sushi by friends. The place at home is amazing, and Sun Sushi was on par and beat the prices entirely! We greatly enjoyed our meal and are planning to return while in town. We’re so glad we came.

Even on a busy day, we were seated quickly. The food was delicious! One of the rolls hadn’t been served and we were done with all the other food. Once we notified the server he quickly got it to our table. Would definitely return if I was a local.

Best sushi I have had in Santa Barbara in a while! The salmon 6-ways was delicious. I didn’t take many photos because I couldn’t wait to enjoy my order. We sat at the bar – the Japanese sushi chefs were very busy, yet still very attentive. The staff was very friendly. The choices of fresh fish were varied and well selected.

Try the Salmon 6 Steps and thank me later!!! The sushi is fresh and they serve thick slices as others commented. Miso isn’t flavorful, kinda watery as someone mentioned. We also tried the Lemon Pepper Salmon Nigiri, and were pleasantly surprised by the sauce combo that our server shared (Will try to replicate at home since we don’t live local) The Yellowtail Delight Roll was good, but State St. Roll I thought was just OK and my fiance didn’t like. It’s a small, no frills restaurant and server was great when attentive to us, but seemed to be spread thin so we had to wait a while to order more food and drinks took a long time to receive, which he apologized for.

Great Sushi . Sun sushi didn’t disappoint. Have heard about sun for a few years from many people and the always talked highly and recommend trying. So we did the other night . SUN looks super small from the outside but is fairly large inside. We did a takeout order. The sushi was amazing. Fresh, and if you’re in the area looking for a great local sushi place, I highly recommend trying. It’s next to the Tee-off
