These pies made at a food co-op close to Texas State are absolutely delicious. The savory pies come with sauces and both are tasty but the green one is a little spicy (I like that but I know that everyone doesn’t). The sweet pies were absolute heaven. I don’t think you could go wrong with any of them. Great snack (or meal) for students.

Some of the best pies you’re going to find in the entire state, made with fresh and tasty fillings. They also tend to run weekly specials which really are aptly named. Just absolutely delicious and the owners are some of the nicest people I’ve met in a long time.

I am originally from Tampa, FL, which has a large selection of Puerto Rican and Cuban restaurants. One of the few things I miss here in Texas is these resturants, but not any more. Sunfield Hand Pies has brought the best of Puerto Rico and Cuba home to San Marcos. There is a lot of love in the food I got and the delivery was fast and hot. They very much have my seal of approval.

Great place to visit in San Marcos! Linda’s service was great, fast, and made fresh when you order. She offers a good variety of Puerto Rican appetizers and Limber’s. It was nice to find a local place that brings me back to our soul food. Thank you for your service will be back.

BOY! I managed to catch these guys on their limited schedule time, and boy was I impressed, the presentation of my meal, for it to be a DoorDash meal at that not to mention, the food itself was sensational. I was a little preoccupied when I got the food because I was playing call of duty, but once I was done, I manage to realize the attention to detail, and was more than happy with the tip that I left. Not only were two business cards left in the bag. My delivery box was labeled from top to bottom for me to know which empanada was which; each one was carefully cooked all the way down to the desert, which is the only one out of the three different ones that I got; beef & potato, chicken potato and cheese and strawberry churro cheesecake; so I will only give a four out of 5 to, only because of the filling. I am not a fan of how much filling there is in it but to each their own. Overall, though I am thoroughly satisfied with Sunfield hand pies and will definitely be going back my ultimate favorite is probably the beef and potato simply because it brought me back to my childhood memory of being back in New York, and buying empanadas from someone that sold them from their cart on the street all the time.
