I went here because the reviews were decent and it’s close to me. I was sad to learn that the reviews misled me. The chicken was “okay” but everything was disgusting. The biscuits were extremely dry, I took one bite and spat it out. The mashed potatoes seemed like they were from a box and the gravy on the potatoes was “chicken” flavored but again, from a package and the taste was barely there. I paid over $20 for a meal I took only a few bites of…. Because I just couldn’t force myself to eat it. Overall, I found the experience gross and I will never recommend it to anyone.

The chicken was decent. However, the sides were horrible. The mac and cheese looked like Kraft Mac and Cheese and tasted only a bit better. The potatoes seemed like instant and the gravy was not great. The biscuits were so dry they crumbled in your hand. Definitely not worth the money we spent! We will not be back.

Sunny’s chicken is definitely a little gem hidden on US 31. I’m not sure how long they have been there. They have hands down the BEST gizzards and fried mushrooms I’ve had in a while. Conveniently enough they deliver through DoorDash , Grubhub, Menufy and Restaurant.com.They actually know how to package fried food so it doesn’t get soggy! I usually never visit a restaurant twice but I’ve already broken that rule here. They have both great customer service and food. Worth every penny. They are closed MONDAYS AND TUESDAYS but they have hours every other day of the week. Anja Approved!

The man was so nice! I had just delivered food for doordash from there and looking at the menu I couldn’t help but pause my dash to come back and try it. Amazing chicken! Highly recommend the popcorn chicken.

Me and my family just moved to Greenwood we’ve been trying to find new restaurants we’ve seen Sunny’s chicken a few times and we finally went to Sunny’s chicken today, and I got to admit the chicken tenders were really good a little spicy but who doesn’t love spicy food! The gizzards were great too my mom absolutely loved them!! The prices aren’t the best but the food sure is good, the worker who was upfront was super nice too and didn’t rush us.

We had Sunny’s chicken for my Father’s Day supper. The chicken was the best that I’ve ever had, and I’ve eaten a lot of chicken in my 67 years. We will definitely be back for more in the near future.

Excellent food. The chicken is perfectly cooked. The biscuits and the mac and cheese are some of the best I’ve ever had. The tenderloin is awesome and it is massive. First time here but definitely won’t be the last.

Absolutely LOVE Sunny’s Chicken. We order at least once a month, and the fried chicken tenders and fried okra is a family staple!! We go boating almost every weekend in the summer, and we always order Sunny’s chicken to snack on and it’s even delicious cold!! Great little hole in the wall kinda spot. You won’t be disappointed.
