On a recent trip to Kauai we ate at several shave ice stands. Sunrise was good. Not the best, but not the worst. Smoothness is very good, and their natural syrups and recipes are very good too. It lacks in value (over $10 for natural flavors and medium sized serving) and especially atmosphere. Grocery store parking lot isn’t the best ambiance. But convenient!

Had the pleasure of meeting Cody & trying his delicious berry açaí bowl & shaved ice! There is definitely something special about the ice- it’s delicious! A little more pricey than others I’ve had on the island but absolutely 100% worth it. Homemade strawberry syrup was fantastic. Can’t wait for you to open a place in Seattle!

This was the best shave ice in all of Kauai!!!!!! Much better than any other shave ice we have had, and we have had a LOT of shave ice. Very soft ice and super strong and tasty flavors. People were very friendly and fun- loving. A perfect example of a small-town shop that made our vacation!

The shave ice was pretty good, but definitely not the best. I got the sunrise. It tasted really sweet- a little bit two much for me. You could tell it’s not as organic as some other shave ice spots, but it wasn’t too bad. It’s nice that it’s close and in Princeville for a quick pitstop if you’re in the mood for shave ice. The line wasn’t too long when I got there. 5 minute line and we got our shave ice like 10ish minutes later. Not too bad of a wait! Overall it was a good experience, mahalo!

Horrible service. You simply cannot put a CHILD in charge of the ONLY shave ice take-out in Princeville!! The little stand never opens on time! Long lines. One 16-17 year old behind the counter, simply walked away saying he needed a “break” with a long line of people waiting…They need to update that whole antiquated shopping center and ONLY allow responsible vendors to open a business. Even taking a chance to get a smoothie in the morning is ridiculous! Sign says, “opens at 10:00 am.” We arrived at 10:30, stand was still not opened. Kids walked over a few days, only to be told after waiting a LONG TIME, that it was “cash only.” Next day they were told “credit card only. Come on! Hire one more employee!!

$15.50 for a açaí bowl with only three ingredients, then an extra $1.25 for peanut butter, An extra $1.25 for chocolate chips, an extra $1.25 for bee pollen… lol. There is so much better at other places here, for a much more reasonable price.

One of the worst açaí bowls I’ve ever had. It tasted like ice. The blueberries were previously frozen and the strawberries tasted rotten. They put too much honey on top to try and make up for the poor flavors. Waste of $16…

Nice shave ice. Under flavored, but we were able to get more flavoring added. The flavors themselves were very good, but the ice was a tiny bit dense at times.
