My new favorite place on the strip! Had the lobster roll and key lime pie one night and the sunset nachos and tropical tiramisu the next night. Food was far above average for OOB. Drinks were tasty and generous, too (painkillers on special for $6, yum!). Awesome service: waitresses both evenings were super competent and friendly, and went out of their way on small things (brought my dog a water bowl both nights, take home boxes for leftovers). And the street-side outdoor patio is clean, spacious, has gas heaters for chilly nights, well docorated, fun, AND dog-friendly! Great vibe, too… Upbeat reggae playing both nights.

We had a pretty unfortunate experience at the Sunset Bar & Grill for my sister’s bachelorette weekend. We came in close to when the grill was closing and asked if we could still get food, saying that we could go somewhere else. They said we could eat there if we could order in 10 minutes which we said was perfectly fine, but then they didn’t even bring out menus for another 5 minutes and we were given sighs on all ends. Considering all three of us had worked in the service industry and were trying to be accommodating to them, this was really disappointing. We felt rushed and that the waitress was only coming over to check on us so she could cash us out and have drinks with her friends at the table across from us. The food was fine, but we would have liked to stay for more drinks and certainly didn’t feel welcome to do so. What a bummer.

We had a party of 8 (6 adults and 2 children). Our drinks were ok, no issues there. Our appetizers were tossed onto the table, when the waitress came back we told her the order was wrong. She returned with all but one if the appetizers, more on that later. We ordered the Fried Brussle Sprouts, Lobster Spinach Dip, wings, and Seafood Cakes. Wings were fair. Brussel Sprouts were sauted in a balsamic reduction, they were good. The seafood cakes had more potatoes than seafood and the Lobster Dip was lack luster.

From out of town and the parking was confusing as ever. Knowing Maine is known for lobster I was very set on ordering something with lobster and the waitress took our drink order and then we got told we soon as we were ordering our meal that there was no lobster. It just would’ve been nice to know before hand. The food was okay and we never got drink refills. I ordered a sierra mist and it didn’t taste right like the tap had gone out and when I stated it to the waitress she acted like I was lying.

WORST place on the beach! Ordered one spicy margarita and one skinny margarita and ended up with two spicy skinny margaritas. The bartender poured a bunch of weird mystery ingredients in to include pickled, jar jalapeños NOT fresh…SO gross. Asked for patron silver and usually the drinks looks clean and clear but this was a weird toxic waste line green color. Tasted HORRIBLE and paid $30 for pure garbage. NEVER again will we go there and we are locals. The Shack is a million times better!
