As a Romanian native, I can totally vouch for this place to send me back to the good old days. Great ‘home-style’ dishes. The beef tripe soup is a must experience for any newcomer to the Romanian cuisine. Had the lamb and beef stew as well while taking a colleague along this time. The richness of the dishes makes up for what some might consider to be moderate portions, on top of this being the kind of fare your Romanian grandma normally prepared an entire day in kitchen to serve you.

What a wonderful place! If you like Romania, Romanian food, and Romanian vibes, Sunset Bistro is a must visit! The mici is delicious, juicy, and better than most the mici in Bucharest. The salata beouf and the vinete were great, as were the cartofi (sounds simple, but these were great and a lot of places make terrible French fries. Not here!) They also do take-out orders.

Charming. Friendly. Reasonable wait. The food is so delicious. Stuffed cabbage roll, eggplant appetizer, pork sausage and beans. Beers on tap. Energy is lovely inside, cozy family feel. Romantic music in background, table cloth. A super sweet place to impress your date.

I got take out today and this place is absolutely incredible. The dining room and restrooms are spotless and they have charming Romanian decorations around the restaurant. The food is honestly the best I’ve had in the greater Seattle area – the Sarmale (cabbage rolls) and polenta in particular are very authentic and delicious. I will DEFINITELY be returning to try more food.

This is the second time in a week I come to this small but very authentic place. The food is beyond delicious! If you’re craving European, Romanian cuisine, this is the place to go. If you don’t — give it a try, you won’t be disappointed. They have some Romanian wine, too, like Fetiasca — I am looking forward to tasting it.
