This restaurant lives up to the five-star reviews. My brother and I made the trip to Saxis today and it was well worth it! We were promptly greeted when we walked in the door. The restaurant is reminiscent of a 1950s diner and is very clean. The food is made right in front of you and is fresh. We watched the owner hand-stretch pizza dough to order while we sat at the bar. Our orders of two crab cake sandwiches were taken with a smile and arrived in only a few minutes even though they were very busy. The crab cakes contained a lot of crab and were tasty and the crispy fries had the perfect amount of salt. I ordered a cheesesteak sub to take home for my husband. He was very happy since it was full of meat and toppings and not greasy at all. I am excited to go back and try more of the food at Sunset Cafe and Convenience, especially the pizza. This is the place to go if you want reasonably priced delicious food served by very welcoming people!

Wide selection of food and drinks for everyone. Food is amazing and the cheesesteaks are some of the best on the shore. Highly recommend trying them! Beautiful restaurant on the inside and beautiful bay views right outside.

My family of six, Aunt, niece and sisters had lunch at the new Sunset Café yesterday (Sunday). We ordered a large Pepperoni and a large Cheese pizza. One of my sisters ordered a large cheese steak sub and I ordered a soft crab sandwich as a carry out. The pizza was perfect and I was told by my sisters (who shared the sub) that it was really good! Tons of meat. The service was fantastic and everyone we encountered was friendly. I took the crab sandwich home and it was heated up in our air fryer. Hubby said it was delicious and tasted like it had just been cooked. The crabs were a nice size and you got two of them. The fries were very good also. Good luck with the new cafe, but I don’t think you will need it!! The service and the food was top notch and all of us will definitely be coming back for more.
