Super Duper Weenie is a great taste experience. It is kind of off the beaten path, as far as geography to the town of Fairfield goes, but well worth the trip. The lot is somewhat smallish, without much room, but (at least on weekends) you can park in an adjacent lot. Their building is a two parter, with the counter and a few tables, as well as a few counter and side counter seats, while off to the side (left as you enter) there is a larger dining room with room for about 80-100 people (definitely great place for meetings). Their menu is limited, but it does a nice change of pace take on hot dogs as it gives a national perspective on hot dogs, offering regional takes that are appro pos to the style of the region they’re named after. Being a fan of chili on my dog, I took the Californian, a dog with chili, brown mustard (surprise! as Californians prefer the Yer Yella type of mustard) chopped onions and hot relish ( cheese was also listed but there was none discernable on mine). The chili had a nice kick to it, and I found myself immensely satisfied with it. The counter people were both quite friendly and informative, and that too, added to the pleasure of my experience.

We had a great experience at Super Duper Weenie! We stopped here on our way from MA to MD yesterday, very convenient location. The staff was very friendly and Gary is awesome! He made sure our food was cooked perfectly and we really enjoyed chatting with him. You can tell he really cares about his restaurant and his customers. Highly recommend checking this spot out!

The best chili dogs in the area. You can’t have just one. The concept is very simple, walk up to the counter order your food and you can eat at their large picnic tables or just takeout. They get pretty busy so don’t get frustrated with the line, it goes pretty fast. My favorite hotdog joint.
