After an incredible seven years of serving you at Surf Bar and Grill, we have chosen to close our doors, Monday, September 4th. Visiting a friend in Rumson we picked up dinner at Surf Bar & Grill. It was our third time picking up dinner there. I always get the Shrimp Tacos. My wife and friend got chicken tacos this time. You get two tacos and nothing else. No rice, beans, chips or salsa. Everything has always been delicious. I would like to eat there instead of taking food out. The pricing was a little high for just 2 tacos and no sides along with it.

Amazing – from the staff’s attentiveness to the food. I’ve visited this restaurant 3 times now and the hour plus drive is totally worth it. The Tin Can Nachos and the Surf Fries are our absolute favorite!!!!

Sat at bar. Bartenders friendly but overworked. Kitchen very sloooow. Make sure your pulled pork is warmed up, mine was room temp at best. Ask for side of BBQ sauce if you wish. Big portion of meat and hot fries.

We brought our baby out for the first time here today and the staff was so understanding and accommodating. They were able to switch tables for us to make it better suited for our situation. The food and drinks were amazing! We will definitely be back. It was a great experience.

We arrived there by 5.30pm with a family of four. Few tables were occupied. We asked them to be sitted next to window since they were empty, the host said it was reserved. She said it was reserved to someone else. Since, when they reserve a specific table to people. Manager showed up saying they are coming in by 6pm, which the table was still empty when we left there by 6.30pm.They walked us to the additional dining area where the table they gave us was in the center of the room, where there were 2 empty window tables available. When we requested those, the host went to ask the manager again. They kept insisting at the center table. They gave the table after all but what a frustration!

Amazing bbq! Service was great. Excellent selection. Had the brisket sandwich and ended up getting another 1lb of brisket to go. Bbq beans were good but, not what I was expecting. Nephew claims that the corn bread is the best he’s ever had – and he is an expert. Excellent presentation on all items. Restrooms are top notch.

We went there with the family for a special birthday celebration! The food was fabulous, as always, the atmosphere was clean and cozy, our server, Micky, was very attentive to our needs, knowable, polite, and carried a beautiful smile! Thank you for this wonderful experience!!

We went to have a burger there a few weeks ago, they were so delicious that we came back to have lunch there the next day and invited family. Everything tasted yummy again! It was a sunny weekend and we were able to sit outside. What a great place!
