Tasty teriyaki in North County with a simple menu. The teriyaki sauce is great but the quality of the meat has declined a bit over the years, still would recommend for a quick bite if in the area (few locations around San Diego to choose from).

We used Surf Brother for our Son’s Wedding Rehearsal Dinner and it was awesome!!! It was as if the manager Jose was one of our Family members. The Employees all kept looking at the clock to make sure we were on schedule. Food was delicious. Sliders were not soggy. The Vegan dishes were kept vegan. I was asked at least 7 times if I had cooked the meal myself. It was that good. We are talking above and beyond. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a delicious, stress free meal.

I have been going to Surf Brothers in Escondido for many years. I love the food and simple menu. This allows them to focus on quality and consistency. Jose and his team are always very friendly. Jose remembers his regular customers and like me my regular order although always checks to see if I want something different. The flavors are really great. They appreciate feedback if you have any problems with your order or if you don’t feel it being quite up to par they take care of you. I highly recommend this restaurant and wish they would open another one on the west side of Escondido.

My husband and kids are huge fans! We all wish that the Teriyaki sauce flavor/ingredients would go back to the way it was before though. It used to be thicker and sweeter. Now it’s thinner (more watery), super salty and tastes more like soy sauce rather than Teriyaki sauce. I’m assuming like most other food establishments that costs and change in vendors may be the reasoning, unfortunately for the customer/s our prices keep climbing as well and the quality isn’t at least staying the same due to these unfortunate circumstances we’re all experiencing.
