I really wanted to love this place.. saved it for my last meal in clear lake. Now I had delivery from door dash, maybe if I was in restaurant for the rock and roll experience it would of been different but I dont know. I was hoping for a iowa tenderloin and this was not it.. it was a ok sandwich, they forgot the side of mustard n mayo so it was a dry sandwich. It was like a boneless porkchop on a bun with a great breading. The ff had a great season to them that helped the not so seasoned sandwich. Now my real problem was the 8.00 strawberry shortcake. I opened the container and said to my friend “this has to be a joke right”It honestly was one (1) of those shortcake round sponge cakes u get in a pack of 6 from walmart n bonus it was hard on bottom..I could tap it on counter. And maybe 1 or 1 and half stawberries..no whipped cream. And this is why I love doordash, they fixed this for me..my next visit to clear lake i will go in for dinner, maybe it was just a bad night there.

Very pleased……I asked the bartender for a beer while he was cutting limes. He said dont steal my knife, so that broke the ice I think. My server was AMAZING! Very nice gentlemen and the food was delicious. My only issue is they should have someone check the restrooms periodically for upkeep. Other than that it’s up there fo sho!

Service is incredibly slow. The onion rings are slimy and over battered. My burger was clearly a frozen patty which they managed to over cook (I asked for medium rare, it was well done. Why ask when they don’t care to cook it properly?) and the bun was a bit on the dry side. The sweet potato tots are not good. Don’t waste your time or money, go elsewhere.

The food is ok and small portions compared to other local restaurants. Food wasn’t cooked as ordered. Two of us requested med-rare and got well done. This is the third time I have been there, and it’s hit or miss if the food is cooked as requested. The waitress was friendly. The decor was great. For some reason, they were playing rap (fairly loud), and some of it had language you wouldn’t want for children. Good thing the place was empty besides two other people and us. One would think they would be playing what the surf is known for the 60s, 70s music, and rock n’ roll.

If I could give 0 stars that’s what this establishment would get. We ordered 2 chicken cesar salads to go but what we got was rotten lettuce. The lettuce wasn’t just wilted but actually black/brown rotten. We were also given the entire stalk (the part of the lettuce you throw away because it’s not eatable). The chicken given was pretty much non existent because it was actually small thin shavings of chicken…I’ve never seen or been served anything like this in my life. We called the restaurant to let them know and we were told we’d have to bring the food back in order to get a refund. We couldn’t do that since we were in from out of town and already running late to a concert we were attending. Their “food” went straight to the trash which is exactly where this restaurant should go. DO NOT throw your money away at this place.

Pretty hectic night we went. Place was packed. Bartender ended up being our server too. Food could have been better but I am willing to come back and try again. Band was great, love the atmosphere. I won’t write this place off just yet….

Everyone at our table ordered the Buddy’s BBQ sandwich. The pork was good and tasty. We had to dig around to find the onion strings. One of our party asked for no pickles – and none of us were given pickles.
