My husband and I were here to see a comedy show at The Blue Ocean Music Hall. Decided to have dinner at The Surfside prior to the show. We ordered cocktails, which were excellent. Ordered appetizers: Lobster Rangoon, NE Clam chowder, Coconut Shrimp. Main course: Fried Lobster, 3 Haddock Tacos. Sooooo let me tell you we could NOT EAT ALL THIS FOOD. We had leftover lunch the next day. I don’t want to not mention the fries. They were amazing. The service, food and atmosphere was beyond what we expected. On the weekends make a reservation. Watch the weather, and if it’s nice book a table Oceanside.

We popped in here after going to an event next door. The live music was AMAZING! We had SO much fun. It was raining and late in evening so we couldn’t see the beach but it was right there. I can imagine how fabulous it would be. Definitely coming back!

Sometimes, the quality and taste are just fine for bar food, but mostly it’s waiting for over 45 minutes every weekend for something to be cooked in a fryer. Side note: I would never venture to eat one of their ‘meals’ here.

We had our Corporate outing here yesterday and I have not stopped getting emails of praise from our employees. The event was perfect from start to finish. Lisa and her team were outstanding; friendly, responsive, and accommodating to the 10th degree! The weather was not perfect, but we could not have cared less. This place creates fun no matter what. You cannot have a bad day when you are on the ocean. Five stars for Surfside! Highly recommend!

Great bar. Love the atmosphere. So many people are so kind here. The food is above average. The worst thing about the place is the craggly old lady who washed up under blue ocean with the rest of the drift wood that works the outdoor bar on the weekends. No patience. Every summer. I gave her the benefit of the doubt last year. No idea why Wayne keeps her working at Surfside. What a disappointment

The manager is rude, and has a very bad attitude. She has no business being in the service industry. This became more obvious to me after reading the reviews here. We had a reservation for a large party, for my MIL’s 80th birthday, and they didn’t provide enough seating for the group. We asked if we could bring one more table for 4 so that we could all sit together, several times, and she said no (adamantly). So four people in our group had to sit on the other side of the restaurant. The whole time we were there there were no fewer than three empty tables and we could have used one without any trouble. I’m local, lived in the area most of my life, and have witnessed how some establishments treat tourists. The manager has an obvious disdain for tourists and is just plain aweful.
