I’ve been here several times already. It’s my go-to for omakase sushi.

This was my first omakase, and a year later, after trying out many more, this still has a special place in my heart. The food is undoubtedly good, but what made this so special is chef Aoki and the staff working here. They are very attentive, pay attention to details, refill your tea when it’s cold, and provide an amazing feel for Japanese hospitality. A lot of other omakase at this price range focuses more on using expensive ingredients, but lack the intimacy of sushi Aoki that makes sushi Aoki truly memorable. I am looking forward to my next time at sushi Aoki.

Celebrated my husbands birthday last week and enjoyed the sushi Omakase. A small, intimate setting for superbly fresh and expertly prepared sushi. Each piece was handled with care and the fish was often melt in your mouth tender. We asked where the sushi came from and he gets it flown in every few days from a fish market in Japan. The other dishes of a clam soup , eel, and sea urchin were also delicious and complimented the meal. Yea and soda are available but byo if you want beer or wine.

Excellent food and a wonderful experience. The sushi is on par with the best I’ve had both in and out of Japan. Chef Aoki sources all of the main ingredients from Japan specifically and it shows – each piece is its own unique delicacy. As far as Omakase goes this is up there with the best and the service is phenomenal. Can’t recommend the experience highly enough. . . Since it’s BYOB you can really have a well priced meal service for the quality as well.

Best Omakase experience outside of New York for sure. Only 10 seats and Teo sittings per night but you get the highest quality sushi and raw dishes.

Very intimate and heartwarming omakase experience! Husband and I went for a small celebration, and the owner put a candle on our dessert, it was really cute. Other than that, customer service was top notch and so was the fish.

Had very high expectations about this place. Overall very underwhelming experience. While the ingredients were fresh (and the fish came from JAPAN as mentioned multiple times by the server), we wished that there were more variety and uniqueness from the courses. Likely won’t be returning unless they change up their menu.

Not impressed. In this price range, I would choose any sushi/kaiseki place in the city over this one. But if you live nearby, hate commute, and don’t mind paying extra$$ for above average (say catering sushi) experience, this is a good place to go, to be fair at least a half of the fish is imported.

No matter how delicious it is, I’ve never written a review, but this is a place to make praise. Using a variety of fish and ingredients, chefs and staff were professional. If you miss the sushi you used to eat in Japan, you must visit here.

The best money we’ve ever spent on authentic Japanese cuisine. Their sushi and sashimi are super fresh. This small restaurant has great ambiance and the owner couple are genuinely courteous and friendly. We highly recommend this place to serious sushi connoisseurs.
