We had Sober Monkey and Hurricane sushi. They were both fabulous. Hurricane left a nice burn. Sober Monkey was amazing and is my new favorite sushi. Our waitress was fantastic and very nice.

Food was great! Service was perfect. Moon-He was wonderful as my server. I always have questions and she made sure to cover them all. She suggested something (scallop nigiri) and I loved i, very fresh and tasty (and I am a scallop snob). They have eel (not just eel sauce) and that’s my favorite, not every sushi restaurant has actual eel. This is a great location if you want something before a show at Playhouse Square. The location is attached to the hall for Outcalt theatre, and the parking garage for Playhouse is also attached to this. Definitely would visit again. The atmosphere is spacious, casual-ish but it feels fine if you are dressed up like I was. I’d recommend going here based on the food, location, and service alone.

Wow, wow, WOW! From start to finish, our experience at Sushi En Downtown, was an absolute delight. The quality and beautiful presentation of the dishes was exceptional. The chef is highly trained and a true artist. Pictures do not show it justice. We have eaten sushi all over the world and this place is definitely one of the very best.
