We stopped here for lunch, we got greeted and got seats right away, staff came by right after and offered us drinks and appetizers, everything on the menu sounded delicious and the pricing was good, we ended up ordering 2 misso soups to get started, which were delicious and very flavourful. For the rolls we ended up with the Rainbow 2 Roll, and Omakase which is a chef’s choice roll. Both roll turned out to be very delicious, flavourful and filling. We really recommend the Omakase roll, it was be based on your preferences and what you might like.

So good! Our waiter was amazing. Friendly and funny. She deserves a raise! The food was delicious and beautiful. We got a bottle of sake and a bottle of plum wine and mixed them together in a pitcher for a delicious drink. I would absolutely eat here again.

I am heartbroken to have moved across the country, far away from my favorite sushi restaurant. If I could have, I would have put Sushi Kakogan in my suitcase and taken them with me. The rolls were always top notch and my wife loved the bento boxes. Edamame was quick to the table and the miso always hot. Green tea with toasted rice always hit the spot and Kirin always frosty. The Omakase roll was my permanent order, never once did it disappoint. The artistry put into the rolls here blew me away every time. I truly loved this restaurant and every time I pass through Rocklin, I know where I will be having dinner.
