The best sushi I’ve ever had! Me and my family have been coming here for over 10 years. The chef is very nice and friendly as well as the employees. I recommend this type of sushi to people who actually like fish and authentic Japanese sushi.. not Americanized sushi.

It’s a family favorite, we always come for big events to celebrate! The owner and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Kato, are very friendly and the happy hour from 5-6:30 for sushi rolls is always delicious, as well as the other items on their menu!

This is now the only place I go for sushi. The traditional sushi is amazing and it’s a small business that’s been running strong for 20+ years. I’ve yet to be disappointed and you can’t beat HALF OFF SUSHI!!! I Recommend this place to all of my friends. And the Saki is amazing! My favorite item on the menu so far has got to be the yellow tail roll and the Hawaiian rainbow roll. Don’t forget to try the miso soup! Cooks for over 24hours

Older place. Nothing very fancy. Been around a long time. Great sushi. Fresh and never has that funny flavor that other places raw fish sushi tend to have… a preservative maybe? Great food.

Sushi Kato doesn’t deserve poor or fake reviews. This is a very good restaurant in terms of quickness, quality, taste, freshness, generous portions, Happy Hour from 5 – 6:30PM and location near hotels and the 99 freeway. Sushi Snobs, lousy HYelp and Frugal Google reviewers don’t fully appreciate much in life so they leave inaccurate reviews. Thank you Kato & Sunny, Thank you Staff! Service and food was great. I had a “box” for dinner, portion was just right and the flavor was on point. The lady serving customers was attentive and very polite. The place was kind of empty but the atmosphere was pleasant. I’d definitely go back.
