It was decent. Hard to say if it was the loud family with the mom threatening Her Young daughters. Or the off tangy sauce that THEY put on their Spyder Roll?.…. The waitress was distracted quite a bit but overall was a good experience. Chief was super nice and knowledgeable. Made some fried white albacore, and handed it out to all the patrons at the sushi bar. Would like to revisit another time. It’s great for it’s location and a quick bite. My rolls were made by his apprentice and some of it was loose and falling apart. Still enjoyable. Will visit again soon and give U update.

This is a very small sushi restaurant in a strip mall on Riverside drive in North Hollywood. It’s a cool little place, their tables and chairs are very nice. I came in about 5:30 and the place had a few people eating there. They only have one waitress who answers the phones, helps people with to go orders and serves the tables. So the service wasn’t all that amazing but it’s not her fault. As far as the sushi goes, it’s not great but it’s not bad. However it is very very expensive for what they serve you. Even their happy hour is expensive. I don’t think I would come back here based on the food quality and the price. I just don’t think it’s worth it. This is definitely not a high price sushi restaurant. They mainly serve American style party rolls with tons of spicy mayo on everything masking the fish flavor. There are so many other sushi places that are much better and priced better.

Came into town for a day at Universal Studios and stopped by Sushi Ran for a quick bite before hitting the road. Wasn’t expecting much but the experience ended up being great! We ordered the ramen and sushi roll combo and everything tasted amazing. The customer service was top tier and the food couldn’t have been out quicker! Highly recommend!

Ordered through GrubHub. Said the cut rolls were 8 pieces. Lady said no that’s different, let me go with 5 pieces in each cut roll. Way too expensive for 5 piece cut rolls. I ordered through 8 pieces each.
