Came in on a Thursday evening around 6:30 pm. The restaurant didn’t look particularly busy, and we were sat at the sushi bar. The person seating us gave us waters, menus, and then we heard nothing else. For at least 10-15 minutes we sat at the sushi bar with no service. The sushi chef gave us a half-hearted hello, and we were not helped otherwise. Waited for awhile & then decided to try the other sushi place down the street. This location changes frequently, and I will understand why, when Sushi Ren is inevitably replaced by something else. I’d rather give my business elsewhere. Karl Strauss is always a good bet in the area if you’re looking for something dependable

Ate lunch with a friend for the first time. Our server was friendly and attentive. The restaurant is nice inside. They had lunch specials. I had the sushi combo with miso soup and salad. The sushi were fresh tasting and lunch was filling. There is also happy hour from M-F. Will definitely go back.

So much better than the previous place. We had a lemon roll, hamachi lover’s roll and mixed tempura. All were perfect…quality fish, vegetables, and prepared well. The ambiance is good with good lighting. Keep it up!

We went to soft opening today. Previously we had gone to the other sushi place in this location and had ok meals. The new menu and ownership is phenomenal. A couple of new rolls and a few old ones that make out a fairly robust menu. They added a few nigiri style fish to their menu as well and they were very healthy portioned.
