We are very frequent visitors at Sushi Robata with my son. My most favorite: sea scallop hand roll. The service is always good, staff is friendly, food is fresh. They have a good variety of Japanese beer, they also serve wine and sake. I enjoy Sapporo Light.

If you get sushi at lunch, it can get pretty pricey! I got sushi c “sushi was just ok”, uni “was ok”, and yellowtail belly “this was def the best”. Next time I come, I’ll get the lunch bento box.

Damn good sushi for the price. I wouldn’t say it blows me away as the best sushi I’ve had in my life, but it’s pretty darn good sushi.

Tasty food. Wide selection (sushi and sashimi, bento, noodles, rice dishes, fried and grilled dishes, appetizers, dessert, alcohol). Great customer service and staff. Good portion sizes at good prices.

This is my absolute favorite restaurant. I swear it gets better every time we go. Takoyaki – crispy and so flavorful. Tonkotsu Ramen – hot, incredibly delicious, excellent noodle texture. Sashimi – amazing flavor, practically melts in your mouth. For how much food my husband and I order whenever we go here, it’s really reasonably priced for a Japanese restaurant, especially when the food is as superb as what we get here.

We have visited here a bunch of times and the sushi is consistently amazing! Our waitress was attentive and when we left a bunch of staff said goodbye to us. It’s a wonderful little sushi restaurant to eat at!

I’m a food critic specializing in Japanese cuisine. I spend 13 years in Japan learning the dynamic food traits that Japan has to offer in one day becoming a chef of my own. Tetsuya Inoye my mentor took me around Japan learning the ways how food is prepared, served and consumed. Since returning to the States, I found a passion to critique the most known Japanese and Japanese/French influential restaurants in California, Utah, Arizona and now Texas. Although, I do review other posts and ratings I learned not to allow this to influence my perceptions of the restaurant that I review…and this has proven worthy to a high degree to say the least! I visited this restaurant and another in the same evening… To put it laconically and in all due reverence, this restaurant does not live up to it’s reputable review background. The ambience felt dungy and old. The food was NOT FRESH AT ALL as fish was about 2 weeks, vegetables marinated in sauce however, I could tell the dish looked and tasted well overdue! The cost was average however, for the price of outdated food marinated in sauce in attempt to mask the taste of such level of food couldn’t deceive my pallet as a professional. On top of all other details, the waitress didn’t smile, hardly spoke and forgot one of my orders! This is my first and probably my last visit at the restaurant. Peace and Harmony!

I got something I didn’t order, and the serving lady blamed me that I didn’t say the dish name clearly and pointed to the wrong one she got.

You cannot see how fancy inside from outside. There are so many small appetizers such as Takoyaki, gyutataki, agedashidofu, etc. some of meals you cannot find in TX, very rare and traditional taste meals you can have bite at Sushi Robata. Also price is very good price. Each appetizer is around 3-5 dollars, and taste is amazing. They have special menu almost everyday changing, and chef made it. A lot of choices. Even sake, shochyu has so many different varieties!! Sushi is always fresh, little small piece you expect, chef is knowledgeable japanese. from special menu, some fish is from Japan, taste just amazing !! You can enjoy “Omakase” “Kaiseki” here. Since I came here, I am big fun of sushirobata. I JUST LOVE THIS PLACE !! You can have 25-30 people big party here, so good for party. 2 rooms are half private room. highly recommend!
