My date and I sat at the Sushi Bar and were engaged in friendly conversation in bouts by the head chef. That in itself, straightaway increased my impression of the restaurant. My sushi roll was a delicious bbq eel masterpiece. Fresh, flavorful and spicy…just how I like it. The spices and flavour were prominent without overbearing themselves. All in all, I really enjoyed my time here and would return again.

Way over priced for the quality and portion sizes offered. The grocery store has better sushi in my opinion. The fish was not fresh at all, even had a frozen taste to it. The calamari was tough, over cooked and swimming in sauce. I wish I would have looked up review before going. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. It will leave a bad taste in your mouth

My wife and I had a bad experience after buying a Groupon for the Beachwood location. I assume they sold too many coupons with an expiration date too early. What is the point of having this promotion if they don’t care if the customers come back? Sushi varied from good to OK to below average, so food is not the reason to try again. Pacific East is much better place (although it may be crowded as well).

WORSE food and even worse customer service. FALSE FALSE advertising and the manager DON needs to go to classes on how to manage a restaurant. When the flyer on-line reads 1/2 price Sushi for Saturday and Sunday open-4pm that means 1/2 price sushi and not to make up rules as you go along. No where on the flyer or on-line does it read dine-in only. Needless to say the manager put up a fight with me for the full price. This was the 4th and last chance with them. AWFUL place. The food is a 2 out of 5 and the 1/2 price is the ONLY reason we went only to find out upon picking our food up at the starving point we paid. We were truly taken by false advertising and a hungry stomach. SHAME on you DON, you may want to find a different career. Shame on Sushi Rock for hiring such a rude MAN to be your gate keeper.

I went recently with a friend to try out Sushi Rock, since I had heard nothing but great things about this place. When we arrived, I was impressed with the decor–it is very trendy, something I’d expect in NYC. The hostess sat us quickly and with a smile and our waitress allowed us the right amount of time to check out the (limited) menu before returning to take our order. She was always friendly and available when we needed it and our food came out in a timely manner, despite it being very busy, even for a Wednesday night. This is why I gave our service experience Excellent.

Food quality is excellent. Choice is excellent. Over priced and the service sucks big time. There are plenty of other places around the city to get really good sushi that are priced way more reasonably and the service is lots better. I would not recommend Sushi Rocks to my friends.

I like this Sushi Rock and like it even better than the downtown location. The service is good and the sashimi is decent for being in the Cleveland area… I mean we don’t have many salty bodies of water here so the sushi is really fresh for having to be flown in from wherever they get it. Only downside is if you drink here it can get a little expensive.

Went here when Pacific East was closed for a few days. Thought that the sushi would be comparable. Not even close. The rice was hard, the fish was definitely not fresh and left a strange aftertaste, and we paid even more money for less sushi than at Pacific East. You’d be better off with Giant Eagle sushi.

Met a friend here for lunch on a Friday. We sat outside – prior to this I wasn’t aware they had a patio. It’s nothing much, right off the parking lot in front. The service was not awful but not great. The place wasn’t too crowded, but they had a shortage of lunch menus (strange) so we had to wait a little to order. Even though we were a pair of friends catching up and not worried about time like we would be if it were a business lunch, the whole meal took a long time – almost two hours. Food was OK, nothing outstanding, and prices were reasonable. Not really inspired to go back.
